GL, but Pauley is a minor league reliever who was just called up recently by the M's. I think he's something like 0-3 with an ERA of almost 9 in his previous 3 big league starts. He's in WAY over his head tonight. And since he's a reliever, he will probably only pitch a few innings and then that dreadful M's BP will come in to pitch 5 innings or so.

As an M's fan I hope they pull it off for you, but this one could get ugly real fast...

Gotta give Pauley credit -- he pitched much better than anyone could have imagined. Unfortunately, the bullpen gave the game away, yet again.

Pauley was great... Sea's bats suck...

We still have some outside chance... But fuck, that bullpen, just blows....

On the lighter side of MLB for me, of course I have my normal to win 100.00 on 1st 5 and game of COL, but I made an extra bet(s) against a buddy; 1k/game (he's a SD fan obv) for ALL 3 games... And RIGHT NOW, HE IS PISSED... I was yelling and being pissed at the TV after giving up the 1 run lead to be down 2, then 3.... And now, well, we have a chance to add some more and close em out in the 9th...

I DEFINITELY THINK AND POSTED YESTERDAY A SWEEP... Today's game was SD's best chance to win IMO....

But, that bullpen sucks against COL (they are great against most other teams though; I give them that)


But NOT TODAY!!! COL puts up a FIVE (5) spot in the 7th!!!


But back to this SEA PROBLEM.... COME ON!!!! TURN THIS SHIT AROUND... If they lose tonight, I cant touch em tomorrow... WIll just start hammering COL for the weekend and leave the BULLPEN of cash suckage alone...

Its just a guess, but why do they struggle more often than other teams when facing a BRAND NEW pitcher or one that they see once/twice a year....

Yeah, he's always been a reliever in the minors and was given a few hours of notice today that he was going to have to face one of the best offenses in baseball, as a starter. And contrary to his performance tonight, Pauley is NOT a good pitcher. He more than likely has no future with the M's. That's why I figured he would be in over his head.

But I do agree with you about the Yankees, as well as many other teams, struggling against guys they've never seen before. The Mariners are one of those teams, and have been for years. I was actually reading a local M's blog earlier and somebody left a comment that said "You know, it's nice to finally see another team make OUR scrub look like Cy Young."

I agree totally... Sad sad day (2 days) for my bankroll following into the well of suckage... Really thought they'd hit today... Again, 1 INN and they lost it.... And again 1 RUN is all they managed... (doubt they score shit in the 9th)

I am rooting for OAK too tonight who is tied... (another head to head battle with another guest at my house of baseball tonight)

I will be lowering my bet size since now I am eating into my own $$$$ again... Was playing with a huge bankroll of the house's the last few months and Kara and I have been living quite well in our castle here as King and Queen of our own little nook on the bench of the Wasatch Mtns...

I told her, as I am telling you guys, that things are tightening up here at home... So, time to start studying MORE, LONGER, and HARDER, til shit gets back to the, "comfortable life"...
