LONG STORY SHORT


I have a friend.
He is married. (Golf buddy mostly. My wife and I hang out with them like dining out, movies etc...)
He and his wife have a baby.
Two weeks after the birth of their son, he splits.
Packs his bags, gets an apartment and says he absolutely wants a divorce. (He will pay CS and be in the kids life without a doubt.)

My friend says to his wife.....I want a divorce, you don't cook, you don't clean and you have put on too much weight (She had a fucking baby for crying outloud)

My question.........

Should I tell this guy to just fuck off?
The thing is.........he's a really nice guy. I like to play golf with him, and this divorce shit is way out of left field.......would never have guessed.

Either way - the situation is really fucked up.

Recently he has said some really weird shit to her as well.

Example: C-Section is scheduled for the baby back in May. My buddy says to doctor and wife "My dad is going on a sailing trip that week, can we do it a week later.

Example: She goes to ER for complications of pregnancy - he says she is purposely doing it to her body to make the baby come early. (SHE WOULD NEVER DO THAT! WTF!)

He sounds like a selfish tool. I agree somewhat with Jack, talk to him, but I would also tell him the truth and what you think.

You ain't helping no one Joker by coddling him. If you deem him an irresponsible POS, tell him. He won't like it, but at least he will hear it and think about it.

Quick example - I had a guy that did some work for me, nice guy, but lazy. I found out he had a four year old daughter that lives five miles away and he had no relationship with her. I absolutely let him have it and told him to grow the fawk up. He quit, but heard from him a year later. He now has a relationship with his daughter.

The things you don't want to hear usually end up meaning the most. Just my opinion though.

Having said that.. Its really none of your business. Either choose to hang with this guy or dont. But dont stick your nose in the middle of their relationship.

I have a friend who treats women like dirt.. Hes not going to change cause I said so. But i love the son of a bitch. So we still hang out.

Didn't they also discuss breaking up and found out a week or so later she was preggo so they stayed together?

did he say these things to you?.....unless he`s a moron,honestly sounds more like third party info you got from your wife through his.....


might make sense to talk to him yourself(unless you`ve already made up your mind)...

i wouldn`t expect the stuff that his wife tells yours to be very flattering toward him....

The basic story gives me the feeling that he didn't want children. She got pregnant and it was doomed from there. He didn't want to look like a complete cad by leaving her while she was pregnant so he waited until she delivered. He'll probably pay the child support because he really can't get away from it but I doubt he'll ever be much of a father to the child. Hopefully this gal will pull herself up by her bootstraps and move on. He sounds like a total ass.

I have always thought joker just tolerated this guy bc of their wives friendship. He just screams douche in every way to me, and Joker usually can't stand guys like him. Idk though... Joker tolerates me I guess... :0003

Joker is a helluva guy, so me thinks he is more tolerant of ppl like this than I would be. I will say this, Joker at least had the "brain filter" to ask for opinions.
