over the Raiders. I must be missing something. Raiders are horrible in all phases of the game. Extremely undisciplined, lazy and slow!!! Chiefs BIG!!! This is coming from a Raiders fan.

geno, you may be right. however, the raiders are finding ways to lose games. you are a browns fan correct ? the raiders def played well last week , and your team won on a fake fg. the chiefs were down by 2 td last week twice and came back to win. the raiders special teams is bad, the def is ok, the off is terrible. this team killed others last year by out scoring them and holding the ball. this off team is inept. the chiefs owe oak for the 28-0 game in the rain last year. jmo.

how is a line of 3.5 in road chalk surprising to a division rival, especially on monday night. chiefs in off a miracle comeback in lambau. why on earth would they be laying more? if anything, im surprised the lines not a little lower- possibly 2 or 2.5.

chiefs are undefeated, but could have EASILY LOST their last three games.

yes i understand the bottom line is they found a way to win, but why would you be rushing to get down on 3.5 points of road chalk to a rival after kc has had a lot of close calls lately?

G/L on any play you make but this one goes against 4 of the 5 things I avoid.

2nd consecutive road game.

Don't lay points on the road.

Don't lay double digits in the NFL. (does not apply)

Play all home division dogs or avoid the game.

Play MNF home dogs.

This game and capping it has nothing to do with the way the Raiders/Browns game played out. Or the fact that I am a Browns fan and watched all of that game. It does have a little to do with the amount the Chiefs got down to the Packers on the road.

I am not repeat NOT saying my money will be on the Raiders, BUT I surely don't like the situation the Chiefs find themselves in this coming week and laying what amounts to more than 10 points to avoid a fluke backdoor TD bringing me to a half point backdoor loss. ;)

KC opened as a 4 pt fav, guys....thinking the wiseguys pounded it out to 3.5 early....

Oakland 0-6 ATS this year
Kansas City 5-1 ATS this year

KC 7-3 last 10 trips to Oakland
2-6-1 last 9 MNF's
OAK 5-1-1 ATS off BB SU losses on MNF

Already a 3:1 Public play on the Chiefs, as well as a 3:1 take on the Over (47).

hogman:

the fact that kc is 5-1 ATS and raiders are 0-6 is almost enough reason to blindly play the raiders. throw in the fact that kc is on b2b road games (and their defense gave up a ton of points) and the raiders are looking awfully good monday night.

good numbers you posted

Raiders Offensive line is in a shambles, major injuries abound. Have 3rd stringers in there getting beat, then called for holding, then called for tripping.

Defense is last in the AFC vs. the rush and last over all. Offense is 13th out of 16 in the AFC total yardage.

To beat the chiefs they will have to play way over their head, but its not entirely out of the question.

I still predict a sputtering offense with negative plays and penalties galore and a defense that will have the ball run right down their throats. Raiders will have to play at twice the rate they have been in order to keep it close.

And their kickoff and punt coverage has always been streaky at best.

My lean would be to Chiefs -3.5, If it got much higher I might feel that an aggressive rush and pressure on the QB could cause some trouble, especially if they can bang Green up...knocking out QBs was a specialty of the Raiders D last year.

dont get me wrong

dont get me wrong

I love, adore and respect the Chiefs--what a fun unit to watch, old Fouts' Chargers ball, I have bet on them or teased every week, and they could be 3-3 w/o stretching anyone's imagination ... I got this game a few weeks ago even at carib and am thinking of middling, but I love KC and will ride their shamrock ...

When these two meet, throw all the trends and stats out the window. Blood war.

Seeing how Oakland responded going into Denver this year, which is another huge Al Davis rivalary game, hard to see them stepping it up here.

Oakland does not have a chance in my opinion but I agree with comments about laying 3.5 here. If if drops to 3 I will buy the 1/2 and get down to 2.5

LOL....bitter Denver fan, I love it! It isnt luck....it is a weapon. Dante Hall is not luck. Dont worry....you guys are a first round out in the playoffs. You will win the number 1 wild card spot and have to play the Steelers who will win the division with a 9-7 record. The Steelers wont let the next one get away.....

OK you got me! You're right They've proven themselves to be the greatest team ever to play the game
Ignore the fact that the have been outplayed including time of possession in four of thier six games.
They are going 17-0 on the strength of one player(even though he is amazing!)
It starts next week withan absolutely stunning loss to the Raiders

GLthe rest of the season and have a great day.

I am looking forward to UNLOADING on the Raiders this Monday night. The public will be all over KC and this game I have had circled from week 3 as a game of interest. I was all over GB last week and felt the sting of defeat, but I am almost certain that Oakland walks away victorious in this spot. Don't forget kids that games are not played on paper.

These two teams hate each other period, always have, always will, I've watched this series for years and it is truly a kick em while their down, and kick em again for fun, raiders are down, slow, and old and have zero confidence, chiefs have the confidence, they have the coaching, players, youth, speed, true they could be 3-3, but even so come next Tuesday morning they would be 4-3, KC HUGE.

Good Luck,
LL
