Nov 1990. I'd like to propose to my wonderful wife a little better this go round.
Had a plane lined up to circle Doak Campbell Stadium asking her to marry me. The week before, at a Florida game we went to in Gainesville(she's a Gator), some other guy did the same thing and she said, "That's the tackiest thing I've ever seen!"I had a plane bought and paid for! I called and told the guy that it was a no-go. No money back, non-refundable!
Proposed the following Friday(the day before a FSU/Fla game) at a nice restaurant. I told her what I had planned and she felt horrible!
It's still a great story.
22 years later she's stayed with me! I don't deserve her, just ask Bart and Skipper.

If I can remember everything that I know now I'd go back as far as possible. Otherwise I'd stay right here right now.
1960. Little league team won championship and we got to go to DC to see Yankess and Senators. Micky Mantle and Frank Howard hit home runs.
