NY YANKEES (Mussina) -105 over CLEVELAND (Byrd)
Last night the Yankees faced a pitcher considered
to be one of the best in MLB, and their offense had
no trouble tagging him with a loss. They seem able to
score at will right now (9.1 per game in the ten days
prior to last night), and they square off vs. the far
much less imposing Paul Byrd tonight. NY is now 21-11
(+$620) vs. righties on the road in night games, and
Byrd has an ERA over 5.00 here at Jacobs Field. Mike
Mussina has looked better since the All-Star Break
(3.75 ERA last two) and checks in with a 2.19 ERA in
his 5 road starts in night games. Last night's win gave
the Yanks a perfect 4-0 record vs. the Tribe (+$415).
Look for them to make it 5-0 with a victory tonight.
