Charles in Charge
This sitcom blasted onto TV sets in 1984 on CBS, and it and ABC's "Who's the Boss?" - starring Tony Danza - both seemed similar, except for one thing: Charles in Charge left the air the next year. It starred Scott Baio ("Happy Days") and Willie Aames ("Eight is Enough").
In 1987, the show returned to airwaves, except with a replacement family, the Powells. With stars like Nicole Eggert ("Baywatch") and Ellen Travolta ("Happy Days"), John Travolta's sister, who played star Chachi's (Scott Baio) mother in "Happy Days" and now in "Charles in Charge." It lasted three and a half seasons in first run syndicaton.
