95 percent of the time when a team gives up an empty net goal to go down 2 goals with under 40 seconds left in the game they give up and put the goalie back in the net and and the game ends.
In that Devils/Sabres game, the Sabres score an empty net goal with 38 seconds left. The Devils didn't even put the goalie back in the net for the face-off (which is super rare), so not only did they pull the goalie again, they didn't even put the goalie back in the net for the face-off. The Sabres then score with 6 seconds left to put the game over the total of 6.5 with a 5-2 win.

kickserv has the absolute worst luck in history of sports gambling......always alway always always gets fucked with empty net goals, and this time is was TWO EMPTY NET GOALS.
