The bottom line is NDNfan don't have much of a clue. Last year I followed his plays the 2nd half of the season. He survived but it was not because they were sound plays. He is way too much of a number cruncher and does not use common sense and intangibles(needing to win the game very badly for example). Anyone that would sign up for his picks is nuts if you looked at the types of plays he cranked out last year. Taking 150 or 160 dogs on a regular basis down the stretch when playing a team in a pennant race that must have the game is not a money making strategy. That is what he was doing because he would look at the pitcher and it would come out in his formula that the line should be plus 120 or 130. Well yeah genius if you only look at numbers. But he forgot it was the dog days of August and September and poor teams dont work counts etc. etc. and go up hacking and largely unfocused. It is no surprise to me that he is getting his head kicked in. I might buy his service next year to fade him. LOL. Not trying to be an ahole just stating the facts.

thought this site was about sharing information....

if there is a particular pay service that is garbage, that service should be exposed....if one is doing good, it should be advertised

period end of story

"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
having read and sifted through all the arguments here about paying for picks....

i mean, hey, we all go through bad streaks and such, i've gone through what Pete's going through only to pull up my sox, find some trends and streaks and stuff, and ride them and get outta the HUGE hole i got myself into.
if the streak failed me, you can always find another one....

I HAVE looked at Pete's picks over the course of the season, and
most of them kinda made me scratch my head. Yes, there is overanalyzing picks and yes you can make a good argument for both sides of a wager. But remember, if YOU signed up for his picks, you have no one but yourself to blame, it was YOU that made the decision that you would follow the picks.

that's why it's called pay service...you take your chances..

YET : I agree with trickpony:
His anger is caused by the poor performance of a product that he purchased and he is informing the public of his dissatisfaction. Not a d*mn thing wrong with that.

there's nothing wrong with expressing your dissatisfaction with a product either.

who knows? Pete may come back with a vengeance next year.....
We'll see.

Makes me wanna start my own pay service......;)

I can see it now : in baseball, my "fade the Tigers til the cows come home" VIGILANTE service plays....

This thread is making me sick! But will try to clarify some things.

The same guy that continues to bash me starting up these threads is the same one that continues to send my handicapping service the threatening and abusive emails. A TRUE CLASSLESS individual who only emails using alias emails as well.

The truth about my baseball season is that not only has it been bad, but it's been my worst since I started doing it seriously. I DO admit that. That being said, it is just one season and sometimes no matter how good you've been in the past, sometimes you're going to have a clunker season. Many of the top baseball guys out there have struggled this season. I guess I'm having one of those clunkers this season. Seems like every bad beat that could happen, has happened....seems to happen almost daily. There IS a reason you have a bankroll. I'm not broke nor do I plan on going broke, but I will admit this season has been a struggle.

A scammer??? PLEASE, I've put more work in this season than I ever have in my life. I've done what ever possible for my clients and have gone WAY outta my way to help some. I've also extended monthly subscribers at no charge so at least you can get a look at what I'm playing...whether you want to fade them or play them. Any buyers that purchased the season package prior to the start of baseball season will get a FULL REFUND at season's end.

As for posting at this site. When things are going well, I love putting some up for my friends at MadJacks. I believe 12-2 on my posted baseball plays here. I don't believe in sharing when things are going bad....and thus no posts for a while. I check Madjacks nearly every day. One of the best sites on the net!

Someone's statement of not having a clue how to handicap?  Fade away. Professional handicapping is so close of % to the average Joe that a season like this is very possible every great while. Please be my guest and purchase my service next season to fade. Have a feeling you'll be eating you're words. I'll even give you a double your money back on the "fade" part.

I guess, it doesn't bother me the bashing of my results, but what get's me is the "scammer" part of it, because of the amount of work I put into the games...just shows not only how immature you are, but also shows your lack of intelligence. Anyone that has asked me about any aspect of handicapping the sport, I have explained my thinking on it and on occassion have gone WAY out of my way in helping them.

Who is this Mookie guy? I don't have a clue nor do I have a clue from all his hotmail email accounts where he sends the threatening emails from, but I do understand his frustration as I'm extremely frustrated with this baseball season as well. It just amazes me how a stretch of 4.5 months where I'm down determines ones lifetime of handicapping ability.

Comments welcome.

ndnfan,

That sounds like some of the accountablility being talked about earlier. Classy and respectible move on your part. And you are right about another thing, having a shitty season is one thing, but scammer is another. Gl to you.

hmm . .. .. .

to the guy who compared pay service stuff to being robbed @ gunpoint or getting hit by a car .. .

Spock is totally confused since what u said is illogical . .. and not only is it illogical .. . .. . .. . . .. . .................. takes a lot of talent and skill to come up with anologies like that.

Regarding Pete :

I have known him for sometime now and he in nowhere close to a scammer. Everyone has their up's and down's. I did good in baseball .. had a bad run .. took my money and left .. .

If Pete was up 45 units .. then lost 18 units ... how many paying customers would have been happy if he had said lets take the 27 units profit and run . .. ..

Pay service .. people want action and u have to keep going .. .

He puts a lot of efforts into the capping and if u dont agree with the plays as being opposite to common sense .. dont play it .. otherwise play it and hope luck also plays its part.

Spock sends Pete all the Vulcan Prayers .. Good luck bud

All in all . .. .. . manage you own bankroll. In the end you are responsible. No one else. (Same with finances unless u had Enron Stock)

Cheers !!!
Spock

ndnfan-
I've been watching you since you came in here. You're a stand up guy and a class act. Everyone goes into slump, and that includes the good services. You'll work your way out of this i'm sure.

Good luck-

Damn, wish I could access Madjacks from work...missed a heck of a conversation.

kick, thank you for the award. I accept it with dignity and humility but not without giving credit to all the people behind the scenes that make such a statement possible.

For those that read it as a literal statement, take a deep breath and hug your kid or go outside and play with the dog. You need the relaxation. For those that took it as a huge exaggeration to make a point...congratulations, you can see through my poor writing skills and gleam the true intent.

After going back and reading my initial post and the many replies, I want to make a few things clear...

1. I do not think Ndnfan is in any way a scammer or even a sh*tty capper as my post inaccurately implied. He is simply having a bad run. Despite whatever title you may assign him, in the long run he is a salesman and salesman live and die by "what have you done for me lately" A customer of his felt he got poor service and mouthed off like all of us have done at one time or another. Fletcher had a wonderful reply...call ndnfan or email him and solve the problem.

2. Spock, I know it is an act but it creeps me out to hear anyone refer to themselves in the 3rd person.

3. kick, your initial post was a time honored follow the herd reply "bottom line..........no matter what service....if you pay money your responsible.........nobody forces you to pay.....only person you should be mad at is yourself"

Put a little creativity in your thoughts and for goodness sake use spell check every so often. Your responsible = my responsible

Worse = not as good as
Worst = most horrible

If I am getting an award, I don't want really bad, I want the absolute worst.

4. PUHD, sorry about your friend. It was a crappy analogy and disrespect was not the intention.

5. Lightning, amazing literary skills. Please feel free to summarize any and all posts as you see necessary.

My opinion is,ndnfan say's he's giving his client's a full refund for those who have been with him all season, How could you be more fair? I think he's being more than fair. He obviously has worked hard, and he has claimed his shortcoming's record wise. What else can you really expect from a pay service? My position has alway's been, if someone really knew what the outcome of ballgame's were going to be, why would you tell, or sell them to anyone? I mean it is gambling. This forum is for information, and if anyone get's ripped off by a service or scammed by someone, I do feel they should be exposed. I almost started a thread recently, that asked the question, Who has been shafted by sport's service's? and Which one's shafted you? I do wish we would have that discussion. I for one,got ripped off and lied to by several of these guy's year's ago. The funny thing is, I still see some of them in business today. I would love to expose them, for no other reason except to save someone else from that same crap. I do not think this situation with ndnfan warrant's bashing. I think he's being honest and is doing the best job he can. What else can you ask?

Look I want to say something here!!

I know NDN is a not a scamdicapper, just a guy on a bad luck streak, it happens to all of this. U guys that paid for his service cannot complain one bit if he is gonna refund your money on season holders. Hell take advantange of it and fade when it looks like he is having bad weeks. Hell I cap the hell outta of games too, but I go through bad streaks and I tell people to fade me til I can turn it around.

I don't know if u guys know it or not but there is another dude similiar to madjacks that runs a forum that thinks he is so awesome, that is going to paid subscription to access his forum, he is advertising it well u get my picks for free so it is a bargain!! I say BULLSHIT!! and I will not tell anybody what the forum is but some of u will know what I am talking about and I expect to see a lot more people coming to madjacks, from this scamdicappers idea of making money.

NDNFan is a honest person!! ENUFF SAID!!;) ;)

ndn, I paid for the season service - maybe you could refund the money early - I could really use the $500 for football - I hope you will do this - anyways, good luck the remainder of the season and playoffs - it seems like every chance for a bad break you got this year.

Dam after 39 almost 40 years of this business. Yes folks treat it as a business. Treat it as if it's the dollar you need to buy your baby milk. You buy a product say a car. It sucks. Next time you try another brand. Next time you are haveing agood run or a bad run and this is for anyone here. Look in the mirrior. Yup thats the guy in charge of what he is doing. Blame your self not the world. And if needbe try another prodcut.
