Looking to start this year off with a bang. I have capped a few games and this is what i have come up with:

Duke +16' over UVA.
I know my squad is over-rated, but UVA may be right up there too. Goto WR Mcgrew is out for year. I think uva wins S/U but no cover. UVA 28-20

Vandy +14 over Ole Missy.
Vandy ALWAYS plays the rebs tough. When the three bad sec teams: vandy, ole miss, kentucky play there is no telling. Vandy should have won this game in Oxford last year. My point is they know they can beat this team and would love nothing less that knocking eli out of the heisman race early. Ole miss= no running game, no defense. Final score OM 42-29

South Florida +17 over Bama
Roll Tide! The only Shula with an offensive mind is retired. The other three couldn't score in a Florida strip club. Bama has an excellent D, but so does USF. Coaching adv goes to the Bulls. Bama will be good this year, and it will be their last for a few years after the probation kicks in. Bama 21-20

Miss. St +5 over Oregon
The doggies MUST show up otherwise Jackie S. is gone. They have a huge Oline good RBS, and a very sound D. Do the ducks know that they are the number 1 hunted fowl in the state of MS. They will come sunday morning. State 24-17

BYU -3 over Gtech
The Yellow Jackets are feeling as low as a snakes belly in a wagon rut. They lost five starters to grades, their QB moved to WR, and they are starting a true frosh tommorrow night. RB Hollings entered the NFL after Tech kicked him off the team as well. BYU doesn't have a stong D, but they can score with anybody in the country. This one will be a shoot out! BYU will win by at least 7 at home in Utah

There has not been as big a season opener for Auburn since the Tigers played Miami in 1983 (and subsequently lost). The Trojans of Southern Cal were able to beat Auburn with a strong second half showing by their defense and because of some unimaginably bad plays by then Auburn quarterback Daniel Cobb. Offensive coordinator for the Trojans, Norm Chow, took Chizik?s lunch money and then punched him in the gut. Relying on eventual Heisman trophy winner Carson Palmer, Southern Cal was able to control the clock and slowly choke Auburn to death by playing ball control for much of the second half. This year, the Trojans return a boatload of talent along the defensive line and especially at the WR position, most notably Steve Smith, Mike Williams, and Keary Colbert. In fact, if there is a more talented group of WR?s in the country, I haven?t seen it. But they do have to replace Palmer, which obviously won?t be easy, and will have to make the long trip across country to play in the broiling oven known as the Plains of East Central Alabama. An extremely loud and hostile crowd will almost certainly await the Beach Boys but look for them to try and deliver the knock out blow early with several deep passes. Auburn will run, run, and run some more but against a team as loaded as USC, that might not work. Up front along the d-line for the Trojans, trouble awaits in the name of Kenechi Udeze, Shaun Cody, Omar Nazel, and Mike Patterson. These guys will stuff the hole and force Auburn to air it out. If Auburn gets in a game of catch up with the West Coast Meat Suits, they will be in trouble. Look for this game to resemble last years in a tight, defensive affair. A loss here would send Auburn reeling and shatter much of the hope and anticipation for the year. *Note to Auburn: Don?t ever get beat by a team named the ?Trojans? again.

be back with pick closer to kickoff

Recap: 1-0

I was wrong about it being a shoot-out. Good thing i didn't play the total. Tech is terrible!.

No wonder the ACC wants Miami and Virginia Tech, the acc can't even beat NIU or BYU.

Just as i expected. Vandy gave ole miss fits today. Ole miss will struggle to another independance bowl this year.

Lots of late money on USC, i'll take Auburn -2' buying the 1/2
