New season starts Friday.

Stock up your balance ahead of the new season tonight.

2 Points France to beat England at 4/5 with BlueSquare

Full rugby coverage will begin later this week, along with the help of others I am sure.

France 17-16 England

Good test match....England should be immensely proud of their efforts. To face a full strength French team, with a weakened English team, and come within a point of victory is a great effort. Englands strength in depth is amazing at the moment, they are superbly coached, and are involved in an unbelivable set up. They are in with a huge chance in winning the World Cup.

Back later in the week with full rugby coverage through the new season.

1 Point England (-18) at 10/11 Generally

Return fixture tomorrow should be a different story. Perhaps astoundingly, both teams choose to field their first choice fifteen against the weaker teams in consecutive weeks. It would have made sense for the first teams to have played each other tomorrow, and the reserves last week.

As it is there is a large handicap to cover, but England are more than capable. They have their world cup team on display tomorrow, and players will be biting at the bit to play well ahead of the World Cup. At 'fortress Twickenham' it is hard to see anything but a twenty point plus victory for the English.

England 45-14 France

Another devestating England performance. Englands second string side came within a point of beating the French first team last week, and when the roles are reversed, the French second string were well outclassed by Englands test team.

Barring injuries, England are my favourites to win the Rugby World Cup. They have cover for virtually any position, and as long as they keep Johnny Wilkinson and Martin Johnson fit, they are the team to beat. Dont kid yourselves into thinking the All Blacks are better than this team, because that is not the case.

Great to open the season with two winners, after a out of sorts summer. Had bookmakers been quicker to price up Fridays Celtic League matches, then there would have been another winner on this page, but now that I am clear what firms are pricing up the tournament, things should be back to normal by next week.

Back next week.......................................................................................for anybody that is reading  .......this is not the tennis forum, but it is better!! ;)
