Ok, call me a sucker. The man loves fools like me, at least today.
I am not usually one to try to cover the big number, I often choose to stay off of the game if I cant talk myself into taking the points.
Yesterday, I layed the big points with Okl., and again with Minn.
They both came through(knock on WOOD).
So today, I should sit back, and enjoy the games, and not mess with the big lines. as I said, I "should"> but am not going to.
I see no reason that Texas won't run away with this game early, and never look back. Yes, Simms is gone. But Cedric Benson, and Roy Williams are special players, and they are going to get the job done, often this year.
I expect a similar out come from Va. Tech. Other than giving up big totals to Syracuse, and Miami last year, this defense was one of the best. The defense is returning 9 from that team, and should really be able to shut teams down. Not to mention that C. Fla. is only returning 4 offensive starters from a year ago. My theory on this game is simple. I cant see C. Fla scoring more than 10 points. Va. Tech averaged 31 points on offense last year, and we all know about Beamer's special teams. No saying if they are going to score. If we give C. Fla 10, how confident are you that Va. Tech can score last years average of 31 points? Against an inferior opponent such as C. Fla, I am fairly confident.
Confident enough to lay the big points.
