need odds on the following...........



I "met" this girl a couple days ago.......now when i say "met" I mean spoken to. I have never seen this girl.......not a picture, nadda, nothing, ziltch


Yes, I believe her when she describes herself, it does sound like she is an attractive individual. We seem to hit it off, and I would like to meet her. But I ask the madjackers:

WHAT ARE THE ODDS THAT SHE IS INFACT ATTRACTIVE

my odds are as follows:

attractive +140
unattractive -125


any other madjackers have a similar experiance........get along with an individual that you've never seen :shrug: Hard to meet quality females these days, so there has to be a "catch" She can't be cool.....AND attractive can she :shrug:

i hear ya that quality is tough to find, but i am of the school that a good guy can make a good girl...if she has your respect and you treat her right she will change accordingly....(in most cases)

now looks however, not much you can do for some ladies....i believe there is someone for everyone but i am sure not that someone in some cases....

Well with a -125/+140 split, you can scalp yourself for a for-sure profit. That would be the first thing I'd do.

Secondly, I'd take a shot at meeting her. Even if she's ugly AND a bitch, you don't ever have to see her again, and since you did meet her, you know never have to ask yourself any what-if's....

From personal experience I would bet the -125.

A few years ago I met a woman in a chat room that was from Hawaii. After talking with her for about a month she flew in to visit for a week. She was exactly like she described herself but in my mind I was expecting something else. She wasnt butt ugly or anything its just I was expecting a 9 and got a 6. She had a great personality though so once I got over the initial disappointment we had a great time.

So my advice would be to dont get a pre-set image in your head of what she should look like.

At the very worse...she isnt attractive and if you get along with her that good with just talking you probably will end up friends.

Since you're asking for opinions, I'll throw in my 2 cents based on past experiences.

First, let me say I hope this works out for you. Your excitement and anticipation is evident in your post. From that, let me set my odds based on what I think YOUR final reaction may be.

Attractive +500
Not attractive -600

I have had a couple "blind dates" where a good friend has "introduced" me to their friend through email. One of those "I told a friend about you, she seemed interested. Here is her email. I told her you would contact her....." You send a few emails back and forth, maybe chat thru IMs then meet.

The couple of people I have met have been super nice, as was expected. I wouldnt expect a close friend to set me up with the sister of Jack the Ripper. But when you get your hopes up and it gets to a point where you spend alot of time thinking what this person will really look like, you are almost always setting yourself up for a letdown in some sense.

This person may have the kind of looks that if you were to walk into a strange bar and had seen her for the first time without ever knowing she existed, you would probably look twice at her and say "Hey, she's pretty attractive." But I think it's human nature for the mind to draw a mental picture of things you are hoping to see and its almost never what really is there. Thats not to say they werent attractive, but sometimes you let your mind run wild. It's hard keeping it in check. It's impossible to go in with no expectations. It will come down to how you deal with reality.

But hey, every situation is different. Not everything follows textbook analysis. I hope your situation turns out exactly as you imagine.

You never truly know a person sometimes until it is too late. Looks do not mean anything when it comes too compatability. My last wife was gorgeous. But thats where it stopped. She was selfish, lazy and loved credit cards. Looks fade away eventually. And besides that she is not a prize that you show ff too your friends. I would take a decent looking woman who is there for you no matter what happens and sticks by your side to the end, over a babe who is concerned about pimpils and blimishes on her ass.

This has been years ago but I got set up on a blind date. We talk on the phone and she seems OK. We set up a date. I am to pick her up at her house.

I get there and she invites me in.
She was all ready to go dressed casual.

She wasnt half bad looking so I said to myself OK lets try to at least bang her.

So I am sitting in the living room and she leaves me there and I swear she dont come back for 30 minutes. What was I going to do go looking for her ? We had a date to a outside event.

This girl was strange and several people looked at her from just her weird comments and actions. I was like OK lets get this over with. I dropped her off at her house and she insisted she take my picture.
After that I left and didnt call her again.

For 3 years she sent me a Christmas card saying ....

YOU BASTARD !

Geezz.... Can you imagine what I would have gone through had I hit it real good ?
