What is the scariest thing you have ever seen in person? And I'm talking weird stuff like things in the woods or figures outside your house kind of stuff.

Anyone have any stories?

For me, probably being at my friend's house when I was spending the night. We were walking through the woods around the small lake that is behind his house. You know how a cats eyes seem to glow either green or yellow at night? We saw a pair of those eyes from inside a group of brush. We thought it was a cat. We just stood there and it stared at us. When it ran away it sounded like it was about the size of a large dog because you could hear how heavy the footsteps were as they ran through the woods.

When I was a kid living right outside of Los Angeles we used to walk down to this golf course to collect golf balls and under a dark walkway that spanned a little pond I saw what looked like a 4 eyed-frog that scared the sh*t outta me. It was really a pair of frogs humping but I didn't know that at the time.:shrug:

a knife pulled on me flashing around my face. Probably the scariest experience of my life.

being held up with a 8 inch knife across my neck was the scariest even though it seemed like a movie the whole time it was happening.

the other was the tv screen when the la riots were going on. it's scary to think what would happen if anarchy rules like that.

I was in a head-on-collision here in Costa Rica. I didn't have my seatbelt on but the airbag saved me from going through the windshield. It was VERY SCARY seeing the other vehicle coming straight at us and there was nothing we could do. I woke up seconds later and freaked out because I couldn't move right away, I was very scared at that moment too. BTW, it wasn't our fault.

Another, was seeing my younger cousin, somehow, jump diagonal off the diving board at their in-ground pool, jump sideways onto the edge splitting her head wide open. She fell back into the pool unconscious. It was crazy to see this. It looked like a scene from Jaws. She was ok weeks later.

Nothing really. Once was crossing the Santa Barbara channel in the shipping zone and the engine wasn't working on my parents boat and wind was weak and saw a huge tanker come a little too close for comfort but that is about it.

car accident on Highway 401........remember doing a full circle at speeds of 120 km per hour .......seeing cars swerving to miss me...and then slamming into a concrete wall.......now that was scary


and no I wasn't driving....my ex was......have a big gash on top of my head (piece of windshield stuck in my head) to remember her by.......


so easily could have died......if one of those cars that swerved to avoid, hit us......it probably would have been all over for kickserv

Scariest for me was watching Yancey Thigpen drop a wide open touchdown pass in Nov 95 home/produce prices increased heavily the next week, LOL!!


Seriously, , had to be jobsite fatality involving close friend and married father w/2 beautiful children, still pops up very now and then , rocks me for a minute or 2 at least.
