1)bought the hook early and took new england +3.......wasn`t happy to see lawyer milloy go to the bills....i`m sure their picking his brain....but,i still like the pats as the better more established team...the bills have improved on "d"....but so have the pats....
as i said,the pats are the more established club....had an excellent preseason....and last year,started very fast.....coaching edge(again,imo)....plus getting a field goal.....had to do it...
2)have to be a sucker and take over 46 in the colts browns....holcomb seems to be a pretty significant improvement.....the browns took some significant defensive losses over the off season and have some inexperince on "d"...
have heard some derogatory comments on both running games but i think they`ll be productive with james and william green...
with these qb`s and receivers,i can see alot of offense here....and i believe it will take a while for the colts defensive additions to jell as a unit...
3)i`m gonna take a small whack at the brownies +whatever i can get...might be as much as 2 or more by gametime........the line is shifting....the colts appear to be everyone`s darling....i keep seeing "the colts are a lock" on different forums.....strictly an anti-public play with the hope that holcombe looks as good as he did in pre-season...small
4)took the public play early in the week with carolina -3(bought the half).......defense,defense,defense....and stephen davis....if form holds,i expect fred taylor to be on the bench injured by mid-second qtr.....i see the jags as a bit better than most think,but,no jimmy smith,lame duck brunell...and i believe carolina believes they can be pretty good....but,a big qb void...
4.b)the under is a possibility with the jags improved defensive personnel...what is it,35 or 36?.....panthers last 7 openers have gone inder the total......stephen davis right....stephen davis left....
still,"lay the 3 and take the "d"(take that johnny cochrane).....
5)living in baltimore i am aware of the ravens being solid dogs in pittsburgh....they don`t win...but they play pittsburgh close....
i`m not so sure this week...boller played well in the last preseason game vs the giants...but no collins,no strahan,no tiki barber...no shockey....the giants were very uninterested....boller has NEVER been an accurate passer....the ravens are down to 3 healthy wide-outs....he`s gonna get his ass blitzed from every conceivable direction....
the way to beat the ravens is with the pass and a quick back that can catch the ball....no bettis....now it`s zeroue...this is a better fit vs the raven defense....add the fact that terrell suggs came into camp late and looks lost most of the time...and the ravens really never fixed their offensive line over the off season...
joey porter or no joey porter,i think the raven offense.struggles....and they get very little push up the middle from the smallish defensive front...
1st year qb`s never start the year for playoff teams...i don`t think the ravens are a playoff team...i`m looking for a 4....

5)and,btw...bought cincy up to+ 7(-130),at 5 dimes early in the week...just a gut....everybody loves jake and the denver offensive machine....i`ll take a shot with defensive minded marvin lewis in his first home opener...home dog of 7 or more and all that b.s.....
5b)going with ar182 and taking tenn-3(tried to buy points over a 5 dimes with netwriter but screwed it up)...
