when i try to print, it doesn't even try. I click on my printing icon on my task bar and for the status it says'user intervention'what the hell does that mean???

Sounds like your printer thinks it has some sort of problem (paper jam, or ink cartridge is dry or not inserted), and is waiting for you to do something. What kind of printer do you have? Did you recently put in a new ink cartridge? If so, then it probably isn't in right, and it needs to be re-inserted or something.
Have you tried checking the cables to see that they're connected solidly to the printer and the computer?

Yea i tried all of that. I unpluged all the cables and even put them back. I don't think it is the cartridge but I will check that out. It was working fine the other day, i dont know what the deal is. My printer is a HP Photosmart 1100
