TOP 3

(W, fairly easy)
Rutgers bought 1/2 pt to 5.5 (riding the wave here)

(P & L ... stats about eventerrible FH)

NM got 3 and ML, dropped today to +1.5 and 71% on public on BYU at consensus sites, very very fishy (think NM off is awesome, got +600 in lubbock, scored 72 vs pansy in opener) byu plays 3-3-5 and might be tricky but going with Lobos off USC physicality might sap Latter Day Halos

(L & L ... course no chance for me to ever BD cover)

Uconn ML and +5 (biggest game in school's history that Khalid El Amin hasnt played in) good grass team vs good fake grass team.. how many weeks in a row will BC get up?

also liking

Cal ... love tedford (brutal L)

Arky ... tuff Nutt to crack on road, 3-1 LY SU, 4-0 ats (W easy)

Purdue ... riding my pal Jeff's theory that WF is overachieving and Boilers getting value here, starting 0-2 would really hurt Bowl chances (W harder than it deserved to be, stubblefield hurt at half with 7 catches)

Iowa ... coach lafrenz seeks revenge and gets it (LOD W)

Cuse ... vs a Louisville team that might hve trouble matching up on speedy turf (L terrible effort, had hope for sec tho)

Neb FH and game .... piper time for 40-7 thrashing, JoPa futiley losing ground to Bobby in all time Ws chase (is this why Nittany mentor hangs on?) (didnt see any of it, heard they should won easily L & L)

gl gregg

ps would be way up if friggin fish didnt get their spout plugged, ok guys Im trying to let go, hehe :thefinger

Gregg,

Would love to hear your feedback on the Texas game. Can't get a handle on this one. I will most likely pass.
I have been impressed with the play of the Iowa DL and OL. Mind you they have yet to play a solid team but nonetheless with the loss of 4 of their 5 OL I thought this might be a problem when they played Miami, OH but it was not. RB Russell just keeps getting it done.

Horns

I dont have any huge insight, going off Nutts proclivity to cover RD games ... respect Texas explosive O but 13 is still a boatload

ps LW at one consensus site, the +70% plays showed the public went 8-3 ATS ...

this week so far its these at 70% and higher

rutgers #1 play 75%
tex 74%
boise st 74%
sd st
iowa
dux
BYU
minny
beavs

this one total floors me, 79% on over NM/byu (not many precints in however) and I agree, but it dipped a pt already to 48.5, hmmm

I think you can use the consensus sites as a pretty good tool for picking sides, but I wouldn't worry about the consensus on the totals.

The majority of the time people are going to take the over. Or when you have a potentially low scoring game like ravens-Cleveland or a potential shootout like, say, Minny- Rams, everyone will take the obvious bet. Sometimes they're right, sometimes wrong, but the consensus on totals is very inconsistent in my experience.

Just my opinion.

(L, heres were trends kill ya, dog always cover, hehe, sure ND is horrible and Mich is great--something like that)

* ND +10, I agree that TY is great dog coach and UM tho darn good might be spotting a couple extra here after cupcake city blowouts ... I believe the line was 6.5 in future b4 week one ...

thanx Jeff, I rarely play totals, I was just surprised that I thought line dropped one with everyone on the over
