Fawk, bro. Season over for the Dodgers, and season over for me, too. Doesn't Browny have another yr left on his contract?? I think we're stuck with Browny and Dreifort for at least another yr or so. Browny has really tailed off in the 2nd 1/2, totally disappointed. Most important game/series of the year, and Cora and Izturis open the game with back-to-back errors, followed by the usual Dodger ineptitude to get a timely hit with RISP.
Looking at the Dodger lineup, I'm not sure if there's much we can do. McGriff will be back for another yr @ 1B, Beltre is locked in @ 3B, Isturis @ SS, LoDuca @ C, Green @ RF. That leaves Cora, Roberts, and Burnitz. I'd like to see Burnitz back, since he said he wanted to play in SoCal and that money is not as important as location at this point of his career, and looks like with the Giles trade, there will be no room for Burnitz in SD. No room in Anaheim, either. Management said they'll be looking for an upgrade at the 2B spot, but there's still little room under the cap to play with. Roberts wreaks havoc when he's on base, but he's injury prone and doesn't get on base enough. Basically we're left with hoping that the Bullpen stays intact next yr, and that Green and Beltre finding their stroke for next season. Without these 2 guys, the Dodgers ain't going nowhere. Just don't hold your breath, LOL.
