i know philthy has looked terrible this year.....but,they are coming off a bye and they are notoriously strong road dogs....bought this to 4......buffalo has very little in the way of a running game and i just think this looks like a spot where philly may show up and play the bills tough....very important game for the eagles...their season may be on the line....rested with 2 weeks to prepare...strong road club trying to right the ship and getting a solid 4.....

detroit a "no play"....my mistake...thought they were home....lol

hate going against the more cohesive clubs right now, but, these are excellent scheduling situations,imo....would rather have seen buffalo play a little better last week, but,it is what it is....

whattaya think?....

I agree with you on the Eagles. If they can establish a run and get McNabb to quit thinking about staying in the pocket and throwing the ball - so he can just play football - they can win this game outright. I expect a lower scoring game than one might - Eagles don't have the receiving corps to put up a bunch of points through the air, and I would hope they've started to realize this. They can better attack Buffalo on the ground and if they can execute that, they'll give themselves a good chance at covering in a low scoring game...

Have to look at more on the Detroit game. GL to you this week!

gw, the Lions have now lost their 2nd, 3rd and 4th corners for the season. They are now relying on Otis Smith who is older than dirt and Alex Molden, who couldn't stick in Arizona. Be careful.

thanks ripit and cwood

thanks ripit and cwood

the detroit game may be a bit of a stretch.....as i said, for some strange reason i thought originally this was in motown...smaller play than philly.....if it looks dicey later in the week,i`ll consider a buy back.....

may be looking at the ravens this week also.....i`ll write it up so i can get some opposing viewpoints....i realize we have a strong, devoted k.c. following at madjacks....

as of right now,i`m backing off my detroit play......my original premise started with the mistaken assumption that detroit was at home which would make +13 a bad line......my bad.....looking and not seeing.....

Garden...I think you're dead on with the Philly pick....look back at the last few seasons and they're one of the best ATS team on the road. GL

Lack of running game may be in Buffalo favor here as philly secondary is still banged up and ripe to be exploited. Coming off the Miami game Bledsoe will be itching to throw the ball.

Offensively the Eagles have no weapons right now. Why McNabb would sacrafice his greatest weapon, his elusiveness, to become a pocket passer with a weak arm, is a mystery. He has no wide outs that can stretch the field, Staley and Buckhalter have been unable to find any holes to run, and Reid's game plan of throwing the ball five yards on 3rd and 20 don't cut it.

I think the Bills will be tough to run on here with Adams and Williams stuffing the middle. They contained Ricky Williams for 3 quarters last week and then wore down as Williams just battered them in the 4th.

I have a hard time betting on McNabb coming off his worst two games of his career and now hitting RWS, which is one of the worst places for a road team to play. Unless McNabb and Ried come up with an offensive game plan that is remarkably different then the first two weeks, I don't think they score enough to cover here.

With Henry out, I think you will see the Buffalo game plan of early last year. Bledsoe will chuck the ball 40 - 50 times and make Philly try to outscore them.

GW,
You may be onto something with Detroit. In the first 3 weeks of the season, the biggest dogs have either covered or won outright. I may have to add Detroit as a play.

Week 1: Texans +14 (won outright)
Week 2: Carolina +10 (won outright)
Week 2: Cincinnati +11.5 (lost by 3)
Week 3: Arizona +8 (won outright)
