well...about three weeks before season starts.....but thought I'd get in on some Stanley Cup action :D

so here are my plays for 2003-2004 Stanley Cup Champion:

(decimal format)

NJ Devils $7.50
**picked em last year (at start of playoffs mind you!) and will go with em again......hey can't go wrong with picking defending champ now can ya!!

Toronto Maple Leafs $23.00
**ok I know I know......

Minnesota Wild $30.00
**can you say DEFENSE!!

SJ Sharks $66.00
**rebound from horrific season......odds to good to pass up!

Buffalo Sabres $151.00
**ok this team isn't that bad....had to take shot at these crazy crazy odds

and if there was a way you could bet NO.......I would place a wager on Detroit and Colorado NOT winning the cup......but as far as I know......those wagers don't exist.

I played Ottawa @ 8-1 already. I think that's a decent payoff for a prettty good team. I didn't play the Devils for a couple reasons. First, it's just too hard to repeat. Watch these words come back and bite me.

GL with your picks KS

What up, Kyle. Is the "cool chick" a hockey fan, also??;) :D. She's gotta be at least a "tonsil hockey" fan, right?? LOL

I would have taken the Leafs if they made any sort of logical off-season acquisitions. They seem to think that players get better after they turn 35 or more. Their D is still gonna be a big question mark. Don't get me wrong, I think they're a playoff team, but I think the fatigue factor is gonna be the difference. They're gonna be a step slower as the season winds down, and going up against the big boys (Ott, NJ, Phi), I think it's bad news for them, since they probably have to play 2 of those 3 to get to the Finals.

If Minny doesn't sign Gaborik, I don't think they'll even make the playoffs.

Good luck!:D
