I just saw the line for next Monday. GBay -4 1/2. GBay is my team and the odds maker has not caught up to them yet. They have no busness being fav'd again this week on the Monday night road. I believe if you want the Bears +4-1/2 you should get it early. I have to believe this line is coming down to 3 1/2 maybe 3.

Bears are my team and the books will never catch up to them. Hard to stop anybody when you have no answer for Iso Right and Iso Left. Green Bay; Bright Lights; I've seen this story before.

Already in at -4

with you bobby, I am a die hard Bears fan, but NO reason to believe this game will be any different than last year's Monday Night game with the Packers. If line drops, I'll bet with my head, not my heart - GB big. Seriously, Bears are arguably the worst team in the league. Home opener won't help, if anything all the boos will rattle poor Kordell. No run game. No nothing. Hope people take Bears, not me.

I saw that line this morning and thought that it may be too high. I am a Bears fan but am embarrassed to admit it this year. However, the Packers are not that good this year and I repect Brett Favre and think he is one of the best ever, he is starting to decline in skills. The opening of Soldier's Field will be nuts and it is going to be electrifying in there. This will make it very tough for the Packers who looked very lathargic in the heat in Zona and may have some carryover into next week. The Bears on the other hand should be as prepared as much as they possibly can coming off of a bye week.

The only problem with all that I have said is still the Favre factor and how well he plays in the spotlight.

Next Monday night is shaping up to be one ugggggggggggly game! After seeing the Bears abysmal performances the last 2 weeks I was fully prepared to throw everything down on the Pack next Monday . . .until they laid their egg yesterday in 'Zona. Yes, the Cards played decently and the weather was hot but the bottom line was, the Pack really didn't look like a much better team than the Cards, and the Cards are pretty damn bad.

Last week against the Vikes, the Bears were back to their old smoke and mirror ways, i.e. their defense was bursting with holes and giving up huge chunks of yardage while their offense couldn't do anything; yet somehow the game was still within a TD with 4 minutes to go.

So the question really is not so much who is better, but who is worse? I honestly don't know, but I can't imagine anyone's worse than the Bears. No ghost of Payton this time; I think the Pack rolls.

Farve has always own the Bears. The line might seem high but the Bears have nothing. They have no off/def line q.b.,r.b.or a cornerback. I know G.B. looked bad but I think if your going to play this game. The packers are the only play or stay away.  Long cold season for us Bear fans.

Favre has been off since last 3 games of last year. He has shown a crack that he is slipping. He just throws dam ball up for grabs so much. It's like the receivers are thinking differant. They did play a decent game against Det. But that is Det. I just think this game should be more like -1.

The Packers are done... they will slide slowly and painfully downward as Favre moves to retirement.. his plight is like Rich Gannon's and Kurt Warner's... like an old boxing champ... all of sudden you see them age in the ring.. Brett will pick his spots where he will flash his past brilliance... and could well do it on Monday night, but the Packers will not make the playoffs.

The Bears do have the bye week which might help them, but they do not have athletes either....

This could be a bad game to watch..

bad game... You think???

bad game... You think???

This is going to be a bad game. Both teams look bad this year especially on the offensive side. This game is just right at -4 for GB considering but I like the under 41.5... Just seems like too many points for such poor teams. Defensively both teams also look bad too but... 41.5?? Come on boys, its the Bears and GB!! Tight game.. low scoring.. At least something to look it...

Good Luck but IMO, if you have to take the Bears, i think now would be the time.. I don't believe i just typed that..

Redfish....I looked into this trend: Chicago off bye is 11-4 ATS and SU. As a HD off loss they are 3-0 ATS, as well as 2-0 ATS v. division. However, the best stat is: The dog in bears game is 12-0 ATS after the bye. They are also 14-2 ATS as dogs of BB SU losses.

Love the home dogs, especially in a division game, in the spotlight. I know the Pack have owned this one for a while, but might be tough for them to bounce back after loss v. Cards. Still, the line may move to entice more Chicago bettors, as public may just equate farve + mnf = winner. I could see Chicago +5.5 by kickoff.

Whenever all the callers on talk radio are on one side, they're almost always wrong. And all the callers here in Chicago are convinced the Pack will blow out the Bears.

Bears + pts

Agree with you Vaulist.

Been listeing to radio stations here in chicago and they all think the pack are gonna smoke them. But i'll take the 4 any day. Bears might make this interesting. Word is that they are gonna throw the ball a hell of alot more on monday night.
