Ohio State (4-0 SU, 1-3 ATS) hasn?t dropped four in a row ATS since closing out the 2000 season with four straight spread defeats. The Buckeyes have cashed at a 6-3-1 clip in their last 10 with Northwestern (2-2 SU, 3-1 ATS), failing last season 27-16 as 25-point road favorites. The Wildcats have lost 19 straight versus the Buckyes, posting a 7-11- 1 ATS mark. Northwestern has cashed at a 10-4-1 clip when underdogs of 24 points or more. Ohio State is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 conference openers.

IOWA (-7) at MICHIGAN ST.: John L. Smith added the first feather to his cap as Michigan State (3-1 SU, 1-3 ATS) coach with a 22-16 upset win at Notre Dame. The Spartans haven?t had much luck against Iowa (4-0 SU&ATS), floundering in nine of 11 ATS, including eight of 10 in East Lansing ATS. The Hawkeyes have cashed 10 straight and 12 of their last 13. They have also prevailed in nine of their last 12 on the road in conference play and 12 of 16 in the Big-10, overall. MSU, on the other hand, has stumbled in 13 of 17 at home ATS and at a 1-6-1 pace versus conference foes. They have cashed at a 6-2-1 clip as home dogs and the underdog has ?covered? six of the last nine series wars.

Ball State (2-2 SU, 2-1 ATS) cashed at Pitt on Sept. 13 as 21-point dogs before opening conference play with a 27-14 win over CMU last week. The Cardinals have cashed 11 of their last 16 as road dogs but flamed out in 14 of 20 on artificial turf ATS.
