Jumped on two early lines:

10% on SDSU +3 over BYU

Wrong team favored in this one. BYU isn't the offensive powerhouse of old and SDSU's defense keep them in check. 3 points will be huge in this one but I think SDSU wins outright as they should.

7% on USC -11 over ASU

I think USC takes out their frustrations on ASU bigtime here. ASU hasn't been able to get their offense going and playing USC will not help.

7% Louisiana Tech +7 over Boise State

Boise State is not the same team off the blue carpet. . . in my opinion, not the same offensive powerhouse as last year even though Dinwiddie is back. . . Tech wins this one outright.

Can't think of any reason that the Trojans wouldn't be favored by more. I'd be with you but the PAC 10 does nothing but take my money.

Also like anti-Boise for the entire year. "Leave no doubt" as a philosophy is something players can buy into and helped cause their 9-3 ATS record, but you beat up on conference opposition in the manner that they did, it is going to come back in spades.

5% Houston -3 over East Carolina (Tuesday game)

Teams are fairly similar except that East Carolina does a great job turning the ball over and Houston does a great job forcing turnovers as evident by their win over Miss St. Houston's QB will limit mistakes and win this game on the road by double digits.

BGold,

You can't tell me that ASU has played a good game yet this year. I had several friends at the game against NAU and they looked weak. . . Utah State was suspect and we already know about the Iowa and Oregon State games. Last year ASU had a passing attack which aided against a below average defense. . . now they don't even have that with Walters at the helm. 17 for 42 for a guy like Walters against Oregon State is not getting the job done. . . neither is 2 for 13 on 3rd down conversions. USC will eat this team up IMO just like they did against Hawaii because ASU has the same problems on defense that they had last year. If they had the same offense as last season, I'd play the over, but I'm not convinced the Devils can put up serious points.

Game could be fun for a while, but Walters will have to have an incredible game to prevent USC from winning by double digits.

GL and I wouldn't mind being wrong on this one but coming off a loss, the Trojans should be fueled and being a fan, you know you would much rather have USC coming off a win to the Bears.

its walter not walter by the wayi never said asu has showed anything this year. Facts are tehy are less than 21 percent on 3rd down conversions, they are not scoring in 50 percent of their redzone trips and they have more turnovers in its own territory than they did all of last season already. Will this continue? It migght but with a run game finally established it shouldnt and Walter cannot possibly play any worse. USC will be missing Matt Leinart the starting qb, all american tackle winston justice is questionable as wel, and the 3 starters who missed the cal game will not be going as well. So with Matt cassell going in his first game in front of 70,000 fans on national tv laying double digits against a very good defense just doesnt ring true to me..
dont you still owe me a hat?

BGold,

You're kidding me right? We had the problem before and I called NewEraCap and found out they never sent the Cal cap that I paid for you. They said it would be sent out ASAP and that was a year ago!

I've always wondered if you got it since you never mentioned anything before. . .

gl man. like that latech play. ill likely be adding that one myself. blue chip is right on the money when he brings up the boise mantra of the last few years ("leave no doubt"). thats all fine and dandy when you have the players to bury teams and run it up on em. but eventually, what goes around comes around. most of these teams still arent as good as boise, but its very apparent that the gap is closing in that conference with boise and the rest of the pack

U2 Wizzard. . . haven't seen GMoney around. . . where the heck is that guy? Actually, I saw him on that other site a couple times but can't understand why he hasn't posted here very much.

So are we gonna be on the same side on any plays this week? Really like SDSU :D

Well, I'll still be calling New Era tomorrow to find out what the hell happened because that's absolutely crazy. Tell you what, when you come back to Phoenix for a visit, let me know and I'll take you to lunch or dinner or something cause a bet is a bet. Wish I had known earlier but if I was smart I would have checked back with them a week later. Anyways, we'll work something out and you've made me money in the past as well so we're even in that department ;)

5* West Virginia +14 first half. . .

Think Fletch is right. . . if Miami covers the game spread it will happen in the 2nd half. WVU should be able to hold their ground the first half and anyways, we're asking the Canes to outscore the Mountaineers by more than two touchdowns in order for us to lose this bet. Like the fact the game spread has come down anyways from 28 to 25.5 at Olympic. We should be ok here.

Is anyone else ready for college basketball to start up? Best money maker for me especially from December to January. For some reason February trips me up but March is usually ok. Will plan on taking a break during February this year and prepare for the Big Dance.

Funny you should mention that. I was just telling one of my other betting buddies the same thing the other day and he was like, "No way man, it's not even October!!" Never too early to look ahead!

I look forward to hitting up the the non-conference season before turning my plays over to the conference specialists like countinguy, freeze and hellah come mid-January. As much as I love college football, college hoops is where I can get paid!

7% Oregon State pk over California

Golden Bears have been playing like gold up till this point. I think we see a letdown after the big win over USC. Nearly a 10% play for me but my only concern is that California may be just that good. . . I still don't buy it and OSU always steps it up for Pac 10 play just as we witnessed with their performance against ASU. Pefect spot for the Beavers to walk out with a huge road win.

3% Utah +3 over Oregon

I just have to do it. . . nearly 80% on Oregon yet I really believe Utah is legit. Funny thing about the Utes. . . . they have come so very close to that big win to push them into the national scene but it just hasn't happened yet. I think we see it Friday night with them at home on national TV.

Well, the due factor was correct! Utah was due for the big win against a top team. Looking at a couple more plays for this weekend and will post them very shortly.
