Gentlemen:

Thanks for the kind, though undeserved words.

I had a chance to have a huge day, but hit a wall with a terrible bet on a terrible team -- the Saints. What could have been a 12-5 day turned into a lackluster 10-7 day.

I am really having a hard time with the sides betting. I've never seen anything like this, where all my dogs look like shit. SFO -- disgraces themselves. NOR -- dies. ATL -- f*cks me in the ass. ARZ -- wasn't even in the game. Then, there's CINCY which makes me $1500. This game is about to drive me insane. Add the fact that Pass interfereance calls are up 41 percent this season over 2002, and I'm hunting for a gun.

My main flaw has been two fold -- not considering the weakneeses of some teams offensive lines (SFO and ARZ were so mismatched today it was pathetic...ATLANTA might as well have five guys in wheelchairs on the OL -- they would play bettter than these mooks). My second flaw is expecting contrarianism to kick in -- where the unexpected happens and I clean up. So far, the faves continue to roll on which is destroying me. I blame no one but myself and the shitsucking Oakland Raiders for my misery.

Okay -- where to go from here? back to totals and angles. F*ck the sides. I'd fade myself -- but then I'm sure the dogs would start barking.

Thank God for haltimes -- or I'd be turning the gun on myself (after blowing away a few referres and Coach Callahan).

(joking boys -- stay calm)

PS -- Anyone that can figure out these sides has my admiration.

Your halftime rules have really been fantastic Nolan. A big thank you for discovering those. I use them every week and I'm getting so used to them winning I almost expect it now. Most of the time they haven't even come close to losing. I find myself watching a 10-7 game and really pulling for the kicker to miss the FG at the end of the half just so the game qualifies as a play.

I know what you mean about the O-line stuff. That's something I paid very little attention to in prior years, but I've really been making notes on it this year and it's helped a lot. That was one of the reasons I was on Indy tonight. In the Tenn/NO game the line just couldn't open up anything for McAllister; they were seriously overmatched. And with Indy's pass D being so solid, I just thought "how the hell is NO going to score?" The game didn't quite go as I expected (was expecting low-scoring, meticulous game)...but hey, I will take it. :)

For me, my second great weekend out of 4 this year. Final tally for the day 11-2 (including 4-0 on halftime systems), with both losses being by a half point. Thanks again.

Nolan, I couldn't agree more. Im sick and fkin tired of the nfl, it is just a crapshoot it seems like. I consider myself a pretty decent capper as Ive emailed you many times about the knicks and the nba and living in vegas, but the nfl is something else. If you wanna make money, just go to wfan.com, and fade mad dog russo, the radio host picks, guy is 4-8 in nfl, put the hoax ony my horrendous jets bet yesterday, and cant pick his a$$ from his elbow with bets. I know everyone had clev/cincy U, so I figured Id take a shot with the O and hope clev offense busts out..........Of course, 14-14 at half, 2 td's 2nd half wins it....Lo and behold, get the 1 td in first 5 mins, and NOTHING the whole rest of the 2nd half.Thats symoblic of how this bs is goin, I never thought Id say this, but bring on the nba

Nolan,

the way i see it you're doing great.

the half-time betting is a fantastic recovery clause that continues to protect our investments. when we get into week 6 and enough data is collected and you start firing on the sides as well ...

... DOUBLE BONUS TIME! :D

Hey Nolan - hang in there - as I looked at a recap of your plays for the week & your current NFL record it resembles closely to how my season is going (NFL RECORD: 27W - 27L 50.0% +.15 UNITS)...we seem to make very similar plays - I am primarily a dog and under player...and the most success I have had has been in the 2nd half wagers...I do believe though that we are weathering the storm & gaining a lot of information about every team and come the end of the season we will be in the positive again...things will even out and eventually tip back in favor of the dogs...well good luck to you & everyone throughout this season...
