Hey everyone! This week has not been kind to me - lost several plays during the last minutes of the game...but that is the NFL for you - very unpredictable & anything can happen - and it usually does! After 4 weeks I find myself right back where i started the season, well +.15 units - so i guess a little better off...

Well that won't discourage me or the way i cap...one thing is for sure...the faves continue to come up big & home dogs just aren't barking this year...what i have done is taken notes - studied the plays i won & lost - and plays i pondered & didn't make & what the results would have been had i played them - and i learned alot about every team during the first 4 weeks - though i have barely gained any ground, i haven't lost any either - and I have gained valuable information for the coming weeks...which i believe will help turn a profit...being a capper who plays primarily dogs & unders - and looking at the performance thus far of the dogs...i feel good about where I stand at being even for the year...i feel things will go up from here...

I have lived in WI all my life & been a Packer fan throughout & keep a close eye on the Packers & Bears...and there are a few things I have learned about betting on the Packers...i know many people do not like betting for or against their favorite teams - but i am a believer that you should make a play if you believe it is a solid play - there have been many times i bet against the Packers & times i bet for the Packers - obviously i would like them to win every game - but i also realize that the Pack is always a big Public favorite & sometimes should be faded...

Well i have learned to ALWAYS BET AGAINST THEM IN MINNESOTA - OR WHEN THEY PLAY IN A DOME - PERIOD...Favre doesn't get the job done in that scenario...also BET AGAINST THEM WHEN WEATHER > 70 degrees - as was seen last week - Favre doesn't play well in the heat...but the most important thing is UNDER FAVRE ALWAYS PLAY ON THE PACK WHEN THEY PLAY THE BEARS!! Favre has their number & even though this is a very public play - and i usually like to fade the public, i see no other way than to back the Pack tonight...I don't buy into the Bears opening the new stadium hoopla...and Favre has historically bounced back from losses w/ a big game...i just can't see them falling to 1-3 tonight...the bottom line is the Packers are a superior team to the Bears...and they will win & cover the spread tonight....look for a fast GB start - also like GB 1st half...

YTD RECAP:
NFL RECORD: 27W - 27L 50.0% +.15 UNITS
CFB YTD RECORD: 21W - 18L 53.8% +24.95 UNITS
OVERALL RECORD: 48W - 45L 51.6% +25.10 UNITS

SHOWRUNNER'S MNF SELECTIONS:

GB -3.5
risking 11 units to win 10 units

GB 1st half -2.5
Risking 5.5 units to win 5 units

GL to all & GO PACK GO!!

You also have in your favor is that Kordel is at QB for the Bears that fact alone wants me to bet the Pack he flat out stinks as any Pittsburgh fan can tell you.

Very true vinnie - i will take Favre over Kordell any time...hopefully the GB D can contain him...and get some pressure on him so he throws some INTs...I think we will see another big Packer victory over the Bears tonight...

Alright Kenman - let's get the 1st half & game tonight!

I am passing on the total for tonight...haven't been able to see a clear cut over/under advantage...I have seen some here on the under & others on the over - seems divided...

I think sticking w/ GB is the best & safest play you can make in tonight's game...i will re-evaluate at halftime - may have a 2nd half play on the side or total...2nd halfs were not good to me this week - put were very generous over the first 3 weeks...

Good Luck tonight all Packer Backers!!

Thanks gib - you keep up the good work too! I know I had a bad week this week but I stick by all the plays i made...I agree w/ home advantage seeming to mean nothing so far - as i feel will be the case tonight...I don't like going w/ faves too much - but feel GB covers tonight - i got them at -3.5 so the FG victory scenario scares me a little, but I see them winning by 10+ tonight...

Adding 2nd half play

GB under 21
Risking 11 units to win 10 units...

I see GB running, running running & the bears not scoring...

Hope this all happens & the under comes through...

GL...

I just can't hit a 2nd half under - this is the 5th under i have lost w/ the last few minutes of the game this week...unbelievable - a fricken 21 pt. 4th quarter...prevented a very big day

Recap:
won 10 unit play on Packers, 5 unit play on Packers 1st half - dropped 11 units on 2nd half under - overall +4 units...
Hey - i will take it - but would rather have been up 25 units...that damn pass interference call & late Packer TD just pissed me off...

Well at least the Pack won...hopefully they can get back on track & win some tough games they have ahead of them...

The Road Favorites go to 12-2 on the year and Home Dogs to 2-12 - almost no home field advantage!

Updated YTD Totals:

NFL RECORD: 29W - 28L 51.0% +4.15 UNITS
CFB YTD RECORD: 21W - 18L 53.8% +24.95 UNITS
OVERALL RECORD: 50W - 46L 52.1% +29.10 UNITS

Hope everyone has a good week! I'm heading to Vegas on Thursday & will be there until Monday...I will recap what plays i made while i was out there when i get back - everyone knows i always post what i actually played - win or lose...just want to keep my YTD totals up to date - sorry i will be unable to post before I go...

Good luck to everyone in the coming week! Hope I have a good week in Vegas!! Later...

Thanks boilermaker - thought a big night was ahead - would have been nice to hit the 2nd half under & pick up 25 units...but i am happy w/ picking up 4 units...hey it's a positive & winning day...

Too bad about your Bears - you are right about being in for a long season...hang in there though...are you a Cubs fan? I am a huge Cubs fan (hate the Brewers!)...can't wait for tomorrow's game...going to make some wagers on the Playoffs tomorrow...will be posting them in the MLB forum...hope to make some money during the playoffs...i think the Cubs can get it done though it will be a tight series...

GL w/ your plays during the next week!

henderson,nv.
that is the way to think sr take any profit that comes your way it builds up over the long run, yes it would of been very nice to hit the big score but least you made a profit and that is what count's.

Have a feeling bears will be out 1 head coach soon anyone else think that?

Seems like a definite possibility fletch, although it's hard to blameJauron. Look at the piss poor "talent" he has to work with. The OL and defense are probably the worst in football.
