I like Houston here to cover the 2.5. Any input is appreciated.

haven't seen one person on ecu, yet line has moved their way... is it vegas way of getting somebody (me) to think pirates can win? ecu has played good teams, 3 of the 4 should go bowling this year. ecu coach thompson is saying offense will get more creative, but qb has yet to throw a td pass and has 7 int's! but worse they are -16 on turnovers and -11 turnover margin, so they give away yet don't take it away. TAKE ECU!
just kidding, still undecided at this point :(

Some times it's in our minds. I mean we like Houston and I do to by about 4 or 5. No huge win but a small play. We see the line mover our way and say how can that be. What we need to do many times is say thank you for the line drop. Some times we can try and out think our selfs. If our reason for the play is agood one nothing changes that.

ECU has played much better of late, covering vs Miami and Wake. Having 10 days to prepare for that offense will also help ECU. Looks like a no play to me.

I am on Houston myself but concerned that ECU gained 391 yds on WF and Cougars step down in class from Pirates previous opponents. Ecu ranks dead last in rushing defense, 288 yds a game and avg 3+ turnovers a game.

GO COUGARS!!!!!!!

djv - You are correct. Sometimes we tend to out think ourselves by putting too much into the line movement. I look at it, ponder it but mainly, my final decision is made from other factors. In other words, line movement is only one of many factors used in my thought process. In this case, I'm still on Houston. Got it at a pick (-107) at PanAm.

the team notes for ecu at cbssportsline says ecu's top linebacker is still hurt. can't recall his name off hand,( i read the report this morning waiting for my energy drink to kick in), he's supposed to be their top defender

ecu is in shambles. their chancellor was just forced to resign, they have no a.d., and new coach john thompson is clueless as best i can tell. their offense is horrendous. how paul troth can go in one year from being the biggest recruit in ecu history to backing up desmond robinson in beyond my understanding. i think they are 115th out of 117 in turnover margin. if you think that's just been bad luck, you're wrong; robinson's the reason.

the pirate defense is last in the country in rushing d. the heart and soul of their defense, lb chris moore, is wearing a large bulky knee breace on his right knee that severly limits his mobility. while he has played well vs the rush the last few weeks, his chances don't look good for playing pass d vs balanced cougar attack.

all that said, i'm not inclined to bet on the cougars on the road. i think over is the play.

I'll take Evans/Battle Over 148.5 rushing yards -120

Taoist -- thanks for asking...just coming off a decent season in WNBA taking a little break until college hoops. Going to give NBA a shot too this year.
