BESIDED BARRY BONDS (WHO IS THE INTANGIBLE) LOOKS LIKE THE MARLINS HAVE BETTER STATS. I WILL TAKE 3-1 SB OVER THE EXTRA 22 HR'S.

Bonds might as well not even bring his bat to the park. McKeon won't come close to pitching to him. It falls on every one else like it did last year. Someone else has to catch fire, ie. JT Snow, Santiago die last year.

I also think Florida has better overall pitching than SF. Haven't looked into to it too much but Florida looks like a good bet...;)

ROCKS CHECK YOUR STATS.

You make a bold statement which is false.

BEWARE OF THE FLORIDA MARLINS

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS TEAM

THEY HAVE THE BEST RECORD SINCE THE ALL-STAR BREAK

May I point out that since the All Star break the Marlins won 42 of 67 games for a 63% win percentage.

Lets take a look at some other playoff teams;

San Francisco 43 of 67 games (64%)

NY Yankees 44 of 69 games (64%)

BUT THE TEAM WITH THE BEST RECORD SINCE THE ALL-STAR BREAK IS

MINNESOTA TWINS with a record of

46 wins from 69 games (67%)

Thanks KC for the last ten games. I am sure some will agree that the competition on offer to these playoff sides was poor quality so I look to last twenty games.

Lets take MINNESOTA 14 - 6, broken down as follows; 7 games against Detroit, 6 against Cleveland and 7 against the Chisox.
2 teams there that could only win 101 games between them from 320 games. Only the Chisox was worthwhile opposition as they were still competing for the Central division. The Twinkies took these games 5-2.

Here are the others;

NATIONAL LEAGUE

CHICAGO CUBS 13 - 7

ATLANTA BRAVES 12 - 8

SAN FRANCISCO 14 - 6

FLORIDA MARLINS 14 - 6

AMERICAN LEAGUE

MINNESOTA TWINS 14 - 6

BOSTON REDSOX 12 - 8

OAKLAND ATHLETICS 12 - 8

NY YANKEES 15 - 5

Eric

I sent this as an e-mail to you but my host server is playing up.

Since start of 2000 Yankees are 10-4 away at the dome.

Overall series for last 3 years in regular season is as follows;

2003 Yankees 7-0
2002 Yankees 6-0
2001 Minnesota 4-2

I think what that person meant to say was that the Yankees are 13-0 home and away last two years. I hope this saves you some time.

ESPN posted a 'chart' or whatever you want to call it showing the teams with long unbeaten streaks against their playoff opponent don't do that well in the postseason. Either half or slightly more than half lost the series.
