Ques about Elko Nev

I was sitting in a bar today and talking with the owner about gambling and he told me about this place. He said Red Lion flys charters out of Mil real cheap. I called the 800 # for them and got quoted a price of 162 round trip including motel .
Has anyone been out there and how is it. I am just skeptical because the price is real low. Anything I should worry about before I decide to book a flight?

Elko is right off the Interstate somewhere in the middle of Nevada. It has casinos, hotels etc...Its just not Vegas or Reno..Its laid back and chill, just sort of a normal town with gambling...If you dont care about the night life, bling bling or fast paced excitement its a cool place to just visit and gamble.

Yeah, certainly no frills or much going on there. Literally in the middle of nowhere (I guess you could say the same about Vegas), but it's a pretty small town. Ok place to stop if you happen to be driving thru, but otherwise I would never consider going there.

I also live near Milw, and took that same charter to Elko - run by the Red Lion about 6 years ago...

Suffice it to say, you get what you pay for. Plane was lousy (think Yugo-sized as far as leg room) - I think it was an old DC-9 retrofitted to get more seats in. Hotel room was ok (not a big deal anyway, as you are never there anyway).

Gambling was poor - 3 casinos in town at the time - 1 had 15 BJ tables, 1 had 3 BJ tables, and I didn't go to the other.

I wouldn't do it again - would rather go to Potowatami or spend $100-$200 more and go to the real thing - Vegas...

Just my honest opinion....
