last week i played against VT with a team that i really liked as a big dog (uconn) and got burned.
i don't see VT doing it on the road, not as 27 point fav.

I played Virginia Tech, Goldsheet has them as a technical play:
We acknowledge Rutgers' positive start this season (3-1 SU and
4-0 vs. the line), but the Scarlet Knights have not yet faced the
likes of this week's foe, Virginia Tech, which rumbles into the
Busch Campus stadium in central New Jersey Saturday afternoon. The Hokies haven't lost vs. the number this season, either 3-0 against the spread), but that early-season success is nothing new for HC Frank Beamer, whose VT squads stand an impressive 23-5 against the number in their first 5 games of the season on the board since 1998. Consider, too, that the Hokies have won and covered big their last four as a series visitor (wins by 28, 40, 38, & 50 points!), and have covered 5 of the last 6 overall in this Big East series.
