COWBOY UP!!!!!!

Last series (regular season) at Oakland, during the middle of heated Wild Card race, we dropped the games 1 & 2 of a Four-game series dropping 1 game behind Seattle(Oakland had taken over 1st place in the west with the 2nd win I believe). What did the Sox do?? I'll tell you what they didn't do. First, they didn't panic like bad(or mentally soft) teams did, i.e, ChiSox when they lost hold, KC when times got tough, and Seattle. You can also look to Houston, LA, and Philly for references of good teams going bad when times get tough. Now I'll tell you what the Red Sox DID do. They beat Oakland two straight to split the series and never looked back. As Fans, we all panicked when the Sox dropped the first two of this series...especially leading 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th when your ace pitched a solid game on a night when his stuff wasn't so solid. The Sox have something special this year. It's a mix of a lot of things...composure, chemistry, talent, balance, heart, integrity, sense of urgency and importance of winning for all of us here in New England that have suffered for so many years.

MY PLAY: 465 COWBOY UPS to win 300 David Ortiz's
Red Sox 465 to win 300
Good Luck RED SOX NATION!!!!!
We deserve this!!!

Bottom Line: Pedro didn't have it all in game 1. Zito is pitching on 3 days rest. 3. The Yanks helped us out by winning so we could play at 5pm PT instead of 1pm PT after a long flight. 4. The A's must have that "uh-oh, here we go again, does the A on our caps stand for Atlanta" feeling. 5. The SOX are gonna win this thing, baby.

talk about change of fortune:

talk about change of fortune:

RED SOX BULLPEN in last 3 games...

68.0 innings pitched, 1.29 WHIP, and 3.31 ERA
compared to season...
1047.1 IP, 1.35 WHIP, and 4.47 ERA

The improvement in ERA really stands out. Timlin and Embree have been great. Williamson too. You WON'T see KIM tonight no way in hell. That little bastard won't pitch again in the post season and if the Sox don't advance it will be largely due to his 9th inning performance in game 1. He sucks!!!

Note Oakland's Bullpen is around 5.50 in this series so get Zito out and win. Screw it, we'll hit anyone in this situation. This lineup has done it time and time again.

I'm telling you right now, this could be the perfect time to parlay the Sox and over 7. I know two studs are pitching, but how many times will you get a total of 7 in a Sox game and they are DUE to BUST OUT. They might cover 7 by themselves. Fingers Crossed.

Mick....my buddy in Beantown called me with interesting info ....first, Hudson officially left the game today in the 2nd inning with a "strained oblique muscle", but Steve Burton on WBZ Channel 4 in Boston reports that Tim Hudson & Barry Zito were involved in a heated barroom fight at Club Q in Boston on Friday night with several local sox fans....hmmmm...
He also reports that Grady Little has shelved BK Kim for remainder of this series and most likely the rest of the year with "tightness in his throwing shoulder"....hmmm.....:bsflag
Both of those official injury reports are about as believable as Jeff Kent injuring himself while washing his truck last year and I ain't buying none of it!!:nono: The good news is that Williamson is the closer with NYY on deck with a win...Sayanora BK Kim!! Zito unreal in Game 2, will be an unknown commodity in Game 5, never having pitched on 3 Days rest before...plus all the pressure from the failure of recent 2-0 series leads that OAK has let slip away...not sure about the Over play with the brutal shadows creeping into Oakland around game time...batters already overmatched in this series(see wakefield & lilly!) combined with shadows and 2 of the toughest pitchers in MLB to get good swings at in Pedro & Zito.
I'm on board for the Sox play though...the Sox got the series back to OAK and more importantly, got around to Pedro again...and on full rest...he will do his best not to let the team & all of NE down.

GREAT INFO Spottig

GREAT INFO Spottig

I heard the announcers talking about Kim's "shoulder tightness" yesterday. I wonder if it's the same injury Ramiro Mendoza and Casey Fossum have???? As for Hudson and Zito getting their asses kicked?? I can see these two young punks strutting into The Rack like a couple of "El Guapos" and getting roughed up by the Fenway Faithful. Many a opposinf player have tried to experience the Boston night life while in town only to find some restless natives. Good news.

Mick...I agree with your comparison of Kim "injury" to that of other struggling Sox pitchers Fossum & Mendoza...G.Little is about as truthful with his injury report as Mike Shanahan!:grins: Rumors of the fight being reported on PTI by P.Gammons now...of course A"s responded with denials...
OAKLAND 0-8 facing elimination last 8
Pitchers in playoffs on 3 days rest(Zito) are 5-14 last 19;)

NOW HEAR THIS :director: REVERSE THE CURSE!!

LETS GET IT ON!

Normally I would not place a bet on this game, but I made a wager on Oakland +150. Not to jinx myself in any way, but having my folks Sox season tickets and tickets to Game 4 of the LCS and Games 2,6 and 7 of the World Series - I needed some sort of "mental hedge." But believe me I will gladly lose this wager to get to the LCS.

The Globe reported today in a couple of different columns, well insinuated, that Grady has completely pulled Kim from the rotation - THANK GOD! With Timlin and Williamson and Pedro starting tonight, no need for anyone else.

COWBOY UP!

Let's hope Zito was involved in the same bar fight that Hudson was in at Club Q Friday night...

Think the Sox bats come alive tonight and that Pedro will pitch a gem. beleive that Kim has tightness in his middle fingers.

I know it was only game 6, but it was Boston Destiny to lose.
It will always be that way. I played the Over tonight, hoping the Sox score big on ZITO and his 3 days rest. Maybe Pedro can finally step up and be someone in the clutch, maybe not. I hope they win for ya, but that Bambino can drop one hell of a curse!
