1. Texas............ +6.5
has not been able to Beat Oklahoma in recent years as a home fav. but getting 6.5 is outstanding in this spot and I'm looking for Ok to come out relatively flat after last week beating the Pointspread number by 25.........A lotta noise regarding OK, #1 no weaknesses, fab D etc. I'm taking a little walk with this dog.

2. Iowa State + 16.5....loses to the number by 25 as Texas Tech beats the number by 26 points. To me this creates an overlay this week on TT and an underlay on Iowa State.

3. Illinois +4 ....for the same reasons as Buddy likes them.

Just in case you don't know, this game is not being played in Austin. It is in Dallas, and the stadium is split 50/50 with OU and Texas fans.

So even though Texas is listed as the home team, they really are not.

Big Tex watches over the Cotton Bowl. He may be the biggest Texas fan but it is always a split crowd. Should be a great game. Leaning toward Okie, think they are too strong.

4. Michigan +1.........BETTER than the gophers with home ad.

5. Miami +6.5 ..........Guarantee they bring their A game! May be an outright W for "Canes"

6. Missouri +7.........Bring on Nebraska and now we'll see Missouri play up to potential........Neb losing big mo vs the number and its (the number) inflated based on Kansas

Freelance,

They are not playing at home. They are playing at the Cotton Bowl where the tickets are split 50%-50%. So this is not at Austin where the UT fans outnumber the OU fans.

Bear,

Why would OU come out flat? This is OU's biggest rivalry. This is their biggest game of the year. They beat the crap out of ISU but IMO that in no affects this game.

OU come out flat in this game? Do you know anything about this rivalry? The atmosphere in the Cotton Bowl for this game is like no other. This will be my fourth straight year to attend this game and each time it gets more intense.

wow

wow

I'm just picturing how much speed Oklahoma has on defense. Now I'm picturing them on artificial Turf. I see a lot of bodies flying around in Dallas. Should be a hell of a physical game.

Bera, with you on Miami this week to take care of FSU but as a Nebraska man am going the other way with that one. Think OK definitely cover against the longhorns in what I think will be tight early and then one way for the most of the second half. :D

Bear, Not saying that the pts are not the way to go here. In fact the dog in this game has been a money maker for as long as I can remember. Just dont see it this year. If KSU would have had any passing attack at all, I think they would have beat UT last week in Austin. If OU O-line can give White time, He will pick this defense apart. Texas has not been able to run the ball the last three years against OU D, and I think this years unit is much stronger, The D line especially. Tommie Harris should have a huge game. UT O line BIG, Slow, and Soft. Mack Brown vs Bob Stoops?
Mack coaches this game tight, and Stoops coaches to win!

If you ever get a chance to attend this game, GO! 37,500 in Red, 37,500 in Orange at the Cotton Bowl in the middle of the Texas State Fair. College football at its best! GL!

The field is grass Bomb.

Hey guys.......

Hey guys.......

All that you state is valid!

Ok. ran last year....controlled clock.... and Texas has about 90 yds on 60 carries last 2 years.

Oh...it will be intense in the Cotton Bowl but play against high caliber competition may fall off for the 'Sooners" some since the tendancy to "bounce" or "reverse bounce" is strong after 2 very strong ATS performances . Oklahoma has beaten the points by 15 and 25 in their last 2 games. In addition....the pressure is on OK...Texas has been beaten by Ark and everyone expects them to get their asses kicked here. Consensus on OK should be about 70% or more.

So why is the line falling ...to 5.5

Grass????? since 93 OK is 21-38 ATS on turf ......Texas is 39-21 ATS

I will not be surprised to see OK get the W. They should!
Nor will I be surprised if Texas pulls an upset
Which is why I'm taking the big points.

This is a monster game and Texas will not be too happy about their treatment in the last 2....Can they do anything about it ???

i'm taking those points:shrug:
