Hey guys, let's generate some discussion on this fascinating game. With Georgia coming into Tennessee -2, is that the same as Tennessee going into Auburn -2? Is this another trap where the home dog should cover? Or if it's different, and Georgia really will when, why? I'd be happy to see some of your opinions.

I like Georgia here. Sure Tennessee is tough at home but this Georgia team is solid at home or on the road. They gave everything LSU could handle. If not for the usually consistent kicker they win since he missed 3 FG's. LSU was full value for the win. Bulldogs will be able to stop the pass. Vols had 2 yds. rushing against Auburn. Fulmer will get outcoached by Richt. Just my 2 cents.

I'll take Tennessee plus the points at home off a loss. all the respect in the world for Georgia, but I'll take my chances. Looking forward to your selections this week as always. GOOD LUCK...

I like the Dawgs here. They are a well-coached fundamentally sound Defensive unit with bundles speed and power. Tenn will have a difficult time moving the football this weekend.:weed:

BULLDOGS BIG. THE GEO TEAM IS COMPLETE. VOLS HAVE TALENT.
BUT THINK GEO IS MORE COMPLETE AT THIS POINT. THE TN DEF IS LACKING A BIT.

The Tennessee/Auburn game was dog bound the whole time.
An unranked home team favored over a ranked team. And to beat all, Tennessee was even ranked in the top 10! Remember Arizona St /Oregon St the week before. Arizona St ranked #24 getting 6.5 at Oregon St.
I would love to see a line switch to Tennessee. I know that would make an unranked home team favored. . .but line switches are deadly. BYU last week. Rutgers against Navy the week before.

UT is ranked 13th....

'Dogs not saying much, but they remember

ATHENS, Ga. -- Most of Georgia's players tiptoed around the subject of Casey Clausen's comments following the Bulldogs' win over Tennessee last year.

Clausen, the Volunteers' senior quarterback, sat out that game due to a collarbone injury and replacements C.J. Leak and James Banks were overwhelmed in an 18-13 loss.

"I could have played on one arm and we could have definitely beaten Georgia, but [the doctors] didn't want to risk it," Clausen said afterward. "If I had played that game we definitely would have won by at least two touchdowns."

The 4-1 Bulldogs (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP) play the 4-1 Vols (No. 14, No. 13) Saturday in Knoxville. Both are tied for the Southeastern Conference lead at 2-1.

While most players steered away from the subject, offensive lineman Josh Brock acknowledged that a large picture of Clausen and his comment are the only things on the team's bulletin board this week.

The Bulldogs' board, which is a new addition in their renovated locker room, is usually covered with dozens of articles and information sheets on opposing teams.

"It's the only thing up there," Brock said.

Outside the locker room, though, Georgia's players are brushing off the comments.

"Casey Clausen was just being Casey Clausen," wide receiver Fred Gibson said. "I think the world of Casey Clausen. He's a great quarterback. Everybody has got their own opinion."

Georgia coach Mark Richt said he doesn't expect his defense to be inspired by the quote.

"I don't know if it would make a whole lot of difference," he said. "If you've seen our defense, they play pretty hard regardless."

Volfan,
What I meant to say was that in the case of a line switch, the lower ranked team (Tennessee at #13) would be favored over the higher ranked team (Georgia at #8). This case is similar to an unranked home team being favored over a ranked team. Sorry about that. Did not mean to take anything away from the Vols.

Leaning toward Tenn myself....Georgia is in that WLWLW ATS trend mode right now...thinking they'll continue with a L. I can see about 6 or 7 games on the board I'd rather play though.
