mich at minny

mich has looked pittiful on the rd this yr and minny is looking down right steller.

i love minny in this spot but a couple of my friends say to take mich, who are decent in picking the big ten conference......

i am puzzled is this just lack of respect for minny or am i missing something in not liking mich this week.......

would love some opinions

by no means am i a big ten expert, but i believe that michigan struggles here big time. people can say what they want about minn not having played anyone, but this team is solid, and at home they will beat the wolverines. just my take.

Take Michigan.....Minnesota is a fraud....Michigan offensive line with dominate the smallish minesota defensive front. No way Michigan will lose this one. Minny will be exposed! Chris Perry will have a huge night and hopefully Michigan won't have to punt! :)

GO HAWKS!

My Pick

Mich +1

Have to go with Michigan also. Should be a very tight game, and really Minnesota is a preety good darn team, but I think Michigan, overall will be better. They know they need a win and to come out and beat the Gophers in the Metradome, would be a nice victory.

i'm not the one-

Michigan is bad????????
Rather, they are over-rated. They are still a quality team. They were too overconfident against Oregon, and got punched. The Iowa game was a tough big 10 road game. They arguably outplayed Iowa (don't get offended Hawkeye fans), but special teams and Carr's conservatism killed them. They are not a bad team. On the other hand, as many have already pointed out, Minnesota always benefits from weak non-conf schedule, then get made an example of in the big 10. Michigan owns Minnesota. And from everything I have read, the Wolverines are still hungry despite tough setbacks. They want this game, and still have a shot at the big 10 title. On the other hand, Minnesota perceives this as their shot to beat Michigan. Fans are already planning celebrations. Won't happen. Bottom line, Michigan will run all over the Gophers. Line too big, and too many playmakers. Michigan d suspect, but Minnesota a notch down from Oregon and Iowa, IMO. I'm from Illinois and follow big 10 extensively, I wouldn't call myself an expert. But, Michigan's the play here. Don't think they fall at Minny. Take it for what its worth and good luck.

Michigan D suspect? They are ranked #3 in total defence. It;s tough though when the other team is starting at midfield or better. Special teams are an important part of the game, no question, but if Michigan's special teams were average, they beat both Oregon and Iowa and would be 6-0 and probably a FG or better favourite in this game.

The offence has 3 bonafide receivers in Edwards, Avant and Breaston. The line is solid and Perry can run if given enough touches. My biggest disappointment with this team hasn;t necessarily been the play of Navarre. He isn't as bad as Michigan fans make him out to be...sh_t, he's there all-time leading passer...but the guy has yet to win a game for this team when it's needed a QB to steal them a win, akin to Peyton Manning this past Friday.

Navarre is 0-6 on the road vs. ranked teams. I think he's gets his first win, but not sure if his heroics are going to be needed.

Take this for what you want. I dont know the big ten like some of the guys in here but i do know college sports very well. if mich loses friday nite they will be 4-3 with purdue and mich st coming up. they need this game pretty bad, seems like their season is on the line at least to me it seems this way. i think mich comes ready to play and play hard. game is at pk now so i would take mich without hesitating.

anyway good luck either way. i played mich along with some other great cappers in this forum.
