Not sure why the need to hype yourself incessantly for going 6-3 all season (I haven't followed your picks, maybe you are kicking ass), or why you use the third-person referring to yourself, but good luck dude.

Big Tyme -will be sailing next week with a couple of friends of mine--maybe I will look you up.....

Scott4--here is my write-up--Miss state will win......

Jeff--The Worm does not hype his record-he states it-period--and i will be close to 75% as I always am by the end of said season--and by the way 66.6 percent is not to shaby in itself-but the Worm can and will do better:) :D

Good luck people

Jeff was not implying that the worm had hyped his record. Jeff was saying he didn't understand why worm needed to hype himself up here every week, brag endlessly and use all CAPS. Jeff thinks he could probably go 6-3 over two months by picking a game or two a week, but would not make a big production out of it.

Good luck,
Jeff

Good for you Jeff-but The WORM does not know your record and if you think you can get winners like the WORM I would like to see your record posted. If you show yourself to be a winner like the Worm I might even coat- tail some of your picks.

Good luck to you and smash Miss St:) :D

Jeff has posted his record every single time and it isn't hard to find. Jeff started off 25-11, had a miserable stretch of about two weeks, and is building it back up. Jeff does not want to bash, and is only offering his opinion. Jeff is done commenting on this thread and wishes worm good luck on the MSU play of a lifetime.

Not sure what difference 75% makes if you are playing games HUGER or BIGGEST or PLAY OF A LIFETIME or BESTEST BET OF COLUMBUS DAY. If you are playing games for different amounts of monopo..oops, I mean real money, a supposed 66% win percentage meant squat.

I mean no disrespect to anyone on this topic, but have to agree with worm on this one.

There is no need for a write up, those that need a reason to bet worm's plays, either use his record or don't bet it.

I don't see his giving his record and percentages as bragging or hype, that's his proof of how his plays do. I'll tell ya I have read some fantastic write ups on games here and they have lost big, so what does that prove, the bottom line is the WIN/LOSS RECORD and so far the worm has given myself and this forum 6 big ones.

Keep them coming:Yep: :Yep:

ctown guy:

i know what you mean regarding writeups. theres a ton of guys on various sites who type page after page of nonsense -- and show no profit because of it. personally i include writeups with my stuff because i like offering my view on a game to others who might be coattailing. but write-up or no write-up, a 4 sentence write-up or 50 page write-up, the game is still played on the field. im not a big believer in stats and trends- thus i dont include them in my posts. ive seen guys on other sites literally write 3 pages on a game and just babble on with pointless stats and info that every guy already knows, and have it lose by 4 touchdowns. write-ups certainly dont mean a guy is good. i definitely agree with ya there. proof is ultimately in the won/loss and units gained.

as far as the worm goes, normally i could say any guy ive ever met in real life that refers to himself in 3rd person is always a cheeseball and an utter nerd. but i know the worm to be a cool guy and well-intentioned. his 3rd person schtick is definitely cheesy, but he does provide good info so i roll with it. he knows the buffalo program pretty well. cant attest to the rest of his hyped plays, but he wins more than he loses. thats what counts. as long as he does that, i can deal with his extremely cheesy 3rd-person references. the only thing thats a little lame is that when someone specifically asks for a sentence or two or why you like a game, to "big-time" them and not offer it defeats the whole purpose of the site. except for a select few, the majority of the guys here bet normal to medium sized plays. to not be able to offer a guy some help when he asks why you like a play is questionable. personally- ive found worm to be one of the upper-echelon cappers here. but not sure if that should give him a free pass to big-time those guys who asked him for a thought or two on why he liked the game- especially after his play of the year lost outright two weeks ago. worm- youre too good of a capper to big time people. no need for it. im sure many just want to know why you like this one more than your game of the year that you just had two weeks ago. thats all

Well said gman2.

I view it as as one of those situations where a guy needs to get known on a site to really know where he is coming from. Your right about the 3rd person stuff and at first I found it pretty funny just like I viewed his whole act, but over the last few weeks that is just worm.

I liken this to my first view of Wizzard and have since reavaluated it and find I'm looking forward to see who he is on. My mistake with Wizzard was to jump in head first and mouth off before I knew about him, but there are still others I will never warm up to.

JSmooth is the main one and I know he is in here under another name, but I digress.

I can take worm and as far as not giving even a small or general reason for his play, it's like I stated before, it's an accept it or leave it type thing. I really don't think he is intentionally putting anyone down.

JUST WIN BABY:D

i've been reading this site for many years now, but i must say that i find hoops' random rips and attacks more annoying than worm's hype or confidence...reminds me of the "old timers" like junior, kosar, and ironlock who apparantly have it all "figured out", and who have no time to post picks, arguments, or sports knowledge anymore, and only time to post bs and patronizing comments...worm good luck with your play, hope you hit it....hey hoops how's your service doing??
