I agree with you Teddie...gonna load up on Lowe tonight at Fenway where he is a different pitcher than on the road. I think it'll be another under game as well.

GL!

yeah, why the hell do they do that!?

the worst part is i use sportsinteraction for most of my wagering and they are famous for shutting down the betting on a game early. so, for instance, a 4:05 or 1:05 start you better have in before 4:00. so you can't risk waiting on a 4:18 start.

i got burned last night again on the 2nd half MNF game. first, their lines open late. and then 2 minutes before the second half kick-off i (tried) pounded the RAMS and Over, entered the bet ... and watched that damn hour glass spin for a minute and then ... "Sorry, we're no longer accepting ... " the bastids! with a still a minute go!

i'm on DSL and my clock is adjusted daily to the atomic clock.

anyway, yes, the senior pimp is accurate ... 4:18pm EST

the reason

the reason

the reason the game is scheduled to start at 4:18 is because it will start at 4:18.

If the game does not start at that time, or within a preset time frame of that particular time, the home team will be fined by the league. That is why, say during the regular season, all games start when they are supposed to. This is a professional league and part of that is having games start when they should.

The reason the time is a wierd number like 4:18 instead of 4:15 or 4:20 is likely a deal worked out between Fox and MLB. Remember this all revolves around $$$. Fox makes nothing, and even loses on regular season. This is where they make their $$$ and they are the boss.

If the game does not start at that time, it is weather related.
