I have seen this stat and do not know if it is true, but seems interesting.

Play on any winless team with a SU record of 0-4 or worse if they are an underdog off of a bye week.

1991-2003: 15-0 100%

This applies to San Diego this week.

local sports talk radio say Chargers and Marty Schottenheimer are determined (even desperate) to get in the win column.. lots of frustration building..

Marty will pull out all his tricks to get a win..

not suggesting a play on san diego
i would not play the browns at this price if my life depended on it.
since coming back to the league, i believe they were are just 10-25 straight up at home. the fact that they beat oakland and covered last week even makes me think theyre that much more likely to have a clunker. browns also could be peeking ahead to road trips to new england and kansas city in the coming weeks.
browns playing a LOT better the last two weeks, but they have enough trouble winning at home the last few years, letting alone covering in the process.

This applied to the Jets last week. Here is some other info along with that:

"The system your refer to was first published in issue # 138 (XXXXXXX) and is one of my original published bye week systems. Oddly enough, the Chargers were home to the Raiders back in 2000 (in issue # 138) and "live" as the play on team. The system was also live last week when the Jets hosted the Bills.
All the winners in the system as follows;
1991 Cardinals
1993 Patriots
1993 Bengals
1993 Falcons
1994 Browns
1994 Bengals
1995 Saints
1996 Bucs
1997 Falcons
1997 Bears
1998 Redskins
2000 Chargers
2001 Bills
2002 Bengals (line was +6.5 points until Tue. morning)
2003 Jets

The winless wonders were a combined 0 - 85 straight up and all the above teams covered 15 out of 15 ATS off the bye when 0 - 4 or worse.
And the above scenario is just one of the many reasons why a subscription to XXXXXXXXXXX is so valuable."

I X'd out the Magazine because I did not know if it would be a problem.

i was on my way to say the same thing....there can`t possibly be a worse home favorite anywhere(maybe north carolina at home),than the browns....i lost a play on the pathetic raiders late last week, but,i`m jumping back on the horse with the rested chargers this week....

caught a 6 and bought it to 7 and made a substantial wager on it......

i`ll play the against the browns as home fave`s at every opportunity and i will come out in the black....

good observation....

Browns will be missing two starting linemen that have been keys to their running game finally opening up the last couple weeks.

I definately like the Chargers this week.

Winless teams are 15-3 ATS off of bye weeks.

If Jamal Lewis can run over the Browns, I expect Tomlinson to do the same.

Good luck
