I am glad to announce that www.madjacksports.com and www.sirbet.com have teamed up to bring us an NHL contest.

Here are the rules:

- Plays to be made ONLY on Saturday starting November 1, 2003.

- You must pick exactly 2 games on Saturday, one game for 2 units, the other for 1 unit.

- Lines will be posted Friday evening/Saturday morning from SirBet.com

- All selections must be in one post only in the designated thread for that day. If your picks are in another thread, they won?t count.

- If your plays are edited, they will not count, so be careful when making selections.

- Cut-off times will be before your game starts. For example, if your game starts at 7:05pm, you MUST post your selection by 7:00pm. If not, it will be voided.

- You are entitled up to 4 bye days, therefore you have up to 4 Saturday?s not to make any selections. If you surpass that amount you will be DQ from the contest.

- Prizes are the following:
1st Prize: $500 US
2nd Prize $350 US
3rd Prize $150 US

- To qualify for full prize amount, you MUST deposit a minimum of $100 US before November 15 @ SIRBET

- If you choose not to make a deposit, you only qualify for half the prize amount

- Last date to enter contest is November 8, 2003.

- Tie-breaker: Guess the total amount of goals that will be scored by ALL teams in the 2003-2004 season. The individual who is the closest to the correct amount wins the tie-breaker. Please post your tie-breaker with your FIRST selection.

-If you already have a Sirbet account, you still have to make a $100 deposit to qualify for the full prize money.

-Standings will be posted on Sunday.

-If you have any questions or concerns, please keep them in this thread. Also, please let me know if I have made any errors in calculating your points. I am only human.

Thanks to Madjacksports and Sirbet

Best of Luck to all.

Sirbet does not offer reduced juice for hockey. They do for baseball moneylines and for football and basketball spreads. I used then while writing my review for the Online Sportsbooks forum here at Mad Jack's. I think they are a very good book for basketball and football because of the reduced juice, so in my opinion it is well worth it to at least put $100 in an account.

I'm in only if Chenker's prevented from entering the contest. If he's playing, we have no shot.

:joke:

Sounds like fun. Will check out SirBet.

how long does the contest last?

is this every saturday for the whole season?

or end after the all star break and do another contest for the 2nd half of the season?

Did I miss it maybe?

and is it a 2 unit wager for the faves?
Detroit -200, so i wager two units and win 1? or risk four to win the 2 units?

You have peaked my interest with this contest and I feel compelled to come out of my reclusive, secluded state of nhl wagering and bring my plays public again.

Doc; I've tried deposit with CC in this book but i think we have to go thru neteller to use a cc. I hate to go thru these types of roads to deposit.

If I can deposit easelly with a CC it will be my way to support Jack's place and i would be glad to enter this contest.

Frogy,

I tried using my CC just now as well, declined. As a result, I will be making a deposit via western union. Call them and see what alternatives are best for you
Tel# (800) 753-3140

Marine,

1. Contest will be ending at the end of the regular season

2. Yes, every Saturday starting Nov 1

3. it is for the entire season

4. it hasn't started yet...

5. you have 2 make two selections each saturday. one selection being only 1 unit, and the other being two units. Your 2 unit plays can be whatever you like (fav, dog, under, over, up to you)

6. if your 2 unit play is on Det -200, you are risking 4 units to win 2 units. If is is on Toronto +200, you are risking 2 units to win 4.

I hope this answers your questions, let me now if you need anything else...

Some Canadian Credit Card Company's are now not allowing anything to do with any gambling websites on the net. I know the royal bank wont have anything to do with them. It might be bacause your company wont allow you to spend on that website.

If you were to win the contest, i assume that they place the winnings in your account at their sportsbook. If so do you have to bet it a certain amount of times, or is there any kind of stipulation before taking it out?

Thanks
