Already bought the Cowboys up to +7 -120. This is just too much. I don't care about TB off a loss, Dallas 2nd straight roadie. At this point in the season I'd say Dallas has a better defence than the Bucs. And I sure don't see this line going any higher.

This coming from someone whose least-favorite team in the league is the Cowboys. But I will bet on anyone if I think it's a winner.

Actually I was thinking the Bengals were a nice value here. I don't think they're getting any respect. They're looking ok; they've made some improvements. Seattle on the other hand....I figured last week that I was over-valuing them, and I stayed off them today. They're now 5-1 SU but only 2-4 ATS, and travelling across the country to be favored on the road....hmmm. Hard to fathom Cinci winning 2 in a row, but I think they can do it.

ok....well I love Seattle in this game........but hey that's why it's called gambling..........and if ya want an over-rated team....look no further then Miami :nono:

just my opinion.........I've been wrong before :p

well first off........just because I like Seattle doesn't mean I'm going to be right :p

but I do think the Hawks will have too much of a running game for the Bengals........also, the hawks already survived the "letdown" factor against the Bears........yes, travelling across the country is a tough thing to do........but Holmgren will have em ready........you have to admit the Hawks are finding ways to win and I just can't see them losing this one...........and come on....ya gotta love that Seattle "D".......I don't exactly see Cinci scoring at will.......do you

I see a 24-10 kind of game...........but hey......as I said...I could be wrong....but picking a 5-1 team can't be that bad of an idea, and with a spread of only -2.0 I like it :)

No, I don't see Cinci scoring at will...but I didn't think they'd put up 34 on Baltimore today either. Granted it will be difficult to do that in back to back weeks...but I don't think they'll have to.

I didn't really watch the Cinci game today so I'm going to have to go look up the numbers....but I wasn't under the impression that Jamal Lewis had that big a day against them today (maybe he did, I'll have to check). In any event that should get them ready for facing Alexander.

Seattle to me is doing just enough to win, but they seem to go through a stretch every game where they just fall asleep or something. After getting burned last week, and then watching them almost blow it this week, I don't have much confidence in them betting-wise.

I would be careful with the early Cowboys selection. You have to look deep into Dallas' victories, especially today's big win over Detroit. HC Parcell has done a great job, but the Cowboys are still unproven. I will wait for Bucs injury update before deciding on a play.

Best of luck

with you gm. think sea is overrated a bit. hassleback does not impress. maybe i am wrong. the def of sea is very good at times, but the hassleback factor is an equalizer. having said that, the bungals have kitna.

do like the cowboys, again. the tampa off is struggling, and the injury bug has started to hit. the cowboys possess three legitamate receivers on off. sheesh, i can't believe i am talking up the cowboys.

Seattle over-rated

nobody payed any attention to them....before the season Vegas had em at over/under 7.5 total wins.......and now that they are 5-1 they are over-rated

your the first person I've heard call them over-rated........in fact during the Seattle broadcast Ron Pitts said....."well maybe now some people will give this team respect".........

anyway....just my thoughts........I was just surprised....first time I've ever hear anybody say the Hawks were over-rated

and oh......as for Hassleback.......statistically he's the best QB in the league when he has the ball at the end of the game, meaning....when a team is trailing heading into the final minutes....he's the man......well that's what the stats say.......not sure if you've seen any of the Seahawks games this year...but Hassleback has been great....this isn't the Hassleback from 1.5 years ago ya know :)

kick, relax. matt looked great last week in the first half. he played poorly against the niners in the 2nd half. i did not see much of the game today. i just noticed that the sea blew another lead and had to win it late in the 4th. winning is a sign of a good team. however, i am a firm believer in putting teams away. from a fan's standpoint they are great. it is your team and they are winning. from a gambler's standpoint they are awful. they are like the dolphins always winning close. trust me. lose a couple of these close games and i am sure you will be a little angry. i have kept up with sea for a number of years. i have there to see them play my raiders. i also have a very good freind that lives there, and until this year he was disgusted with holmgren. anyway, gl this year. bet your game and make yourself some money.;)

IF pitt stays a fav*, last year...

st louis was 1-9 ats vs non division opponents
*st louis was 0-7 last year as a road underdog

haven't figured out what that means to me yet, but thought i'd throw it out there.

thanks for all your work every week. all your posts always a read for me.

good luck.

No sides really leaping off the page at me....But totals

Baltimore/Denver 39.5 with no Plummer or Buerlien!

Better still, St. Lou @ Pittsburgh 47!!! Reckon the Rams will find the Steeler D a little tougher than Green Bay's efforts (esp. in domes!)
EDIT: I do believe we have a 16-0 System #19 to consider also ;)

GM,

Of those that you mention, only the Saints being favored surprises me.

MrChristo, I agree on the Pitt/Stl total.

GM - re; Seattle. They have some nice weapons on offense & a defense that should get better through this year & next.
Hasselbeck has only won 5 games by more than a TD in the past 3 seasons. Holmgren has always been a coach who's offense goes into a shell when his team has the lead. That's why SEA does not cover at home all that often, the spread is larger.
I have been impressed by Cinci so far, but SEA is probably justified as a 3 point favorite based on relative talent on the 2 teams.
