I did a quick search through Alumni Trackers on CBS Sportsline and tried to compile a list of the colleges with the most representation in the NFL. I think the list will surprise a lot of people. The SEC is heavily represented in the Top 5 (Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee).

Let me point out that this is not exact figures. I just randomly chose shcools who I felt would have a high number and searched them. Feel free to add to this list with other schools.

This includes any player who is employed by the NFL, I think. Some of the players did not have jersey numbers beside their names, and I guessed that this meant that they were on a practice squad.

1. Florida State (46)
2. Georgia (44)
3. Florida (42)
4. Tennessee (41)
5. Penn State (39)
6. Michigan (38)
7. Ohio State (30)
t8. Auburn (29)
t8. Nebraska (29)
10. LSU (26)
11. Texas (25)
t12. Oklahoma (22)
t12. Miami (22)
t12. So Cal (22)
15. Virginia Tech (21)

I was thinking the same thing. My guesses for first before I looked were Miami and FSU. The reason why I started looking is that I have noticed that the Bulldogs have several players in there, and I was curious. I did not expect to see us second on the list, though.

Miami does surpprise me. Back about 4/5 years they were hands down number 1. Maybe some got old and stopped. As for Off's line men. Wisky had like 10 or 11 just a year or two ago. Was highest at that time.

Wisconsin has 25 currently in the NFL, so they would have actually made this list. I just did schools that I could think of off the top of my head that I thought would be up there.

Texas Alumni Tracker

Here is the link that I was using. This is probably more biased than the Blue and Gold, though.:p

I don't know how accurate this is. Probably isn't if there are other publications that say differently.
