I would like to see the rebs win this one, but it will not happen. Rebs are 3-0 in the sec for the first time since archie. Rebs are very vulnerable here. Input appreciated.

Crimson,

I think it will be very hard for ole miss to win this game. I see Arkansas winning out right by 7-10 pts. Ole Miss beat a very talented but down bama football team. Good Luck.

My .02 is that you have a very positive situation for the Rebs here and a frightening one for the Razorbacks. Take a look at the Rebel's season: You have an embarrassing fourth quarter collapse at MEMPHIS to give you and L. Then you blow another double digit fourth quarter lead vs Texas Tech (which after watching them since this game actually look like a pretty decent team) and almost lose to Vandy. At that point in the season the team was getting down and losing confidence quickly. Cutcliffe's seat was getting hotter and things were looking bleak going into the Swamp. But the Rebels pull out a tough win against an up and coming florida team THERE giving the REBS some hope coming into their next few games, which included blowing out BAMA who is supposed to have a great D. So I ask you, why side with an Arkansas team that has lost two in a row at home, including a loss to the same FLA team Ole Miss beat, , and has an unconfident QB and a banged up RB. Finally they have to deal with coming into a packed Vaught Hemingway where the excitement surrounding this Ole Miss team is at its max height in years?

Arkansas may rebound and play well, im no psychic, but to me, this play is taking the Hot Home team or no play at all...

By the way, not trying to be poetic in this post, but it came out sounding like it...

Rebel21, you speak the truth, and your post is not as biased as your name might indicate:) Rebs sky-high for this game, and after getting blasted by the Hogs the past two seasons, including the infamous 7 OTs two years ago, are ready for some serious payback. Hogs can't stop Rebs' offense, which is easily the best in the SEC. Rebs win big here!

I have to chime i here as well. I was at the bama game Sat. and the Rebs just kicked Bama's ass. Eli had his best game as QB since starting at Ole Miss 4 yrs ago. This team has jelled I don't know how but they are playing great. The d is bending but not breaking. Bama got all of their points after the game wa well in hand. I have been a Reb fan for a long time and I know how we usually do in big games but something is special about this team you could just feel it in the air last Sat. Just my 2 cents.

GO REB'S

Like I said i would like to see the rebs pull it out,but the rebs have always faltered in this part of the season and after two emotional wins i just think that arkansas needs this win a lot more. ole miss looked great last week, i was at vaught hemingway, but playing there is no where like playing at neeland stadium, bryant denny or just about any other sec stadium, even after the addition. i truly would like to see olemiss win, but i see cutcliffe finding a way to be too conservative if this is a close one.

Rebels have played well over their last 3 games and 'Hogs can't seem to get that big play or convert 3rd and short. Rebels will jump out early and feed off the home crowd. Question is, can they sustain their 1st half momentum and be consistent all game? No play for me but should be a great game.

ND...I agree with you that it's not a big question in my mind whether Ole Miss will jump out to an early lead and feed off 60000 fans...but just like the Bama game I saw us wearing down throughout the game. I hope we are able to sustain our first half momentum and pull out this big win. Although I'm a little worried, I can't pass on this game...REBS -1

BE CAREFUL

BE CAREFUL

Ole Miss prior to last week was 1-10 ATS as conference HF's off SU and ATS wins...........last week they WON....don't know if two weeks in a row they cover this trend!!

Also, Ole Miss is 1-6 ATS as favs vs opp off BB SU losses....Arkansas has lost two in a row----Auburn and Florida.

Prior to last week, Ole Miss was 2-11 as conference Home Favorite. Won again last week....be careful this week.

Ole Miss prior to last week, 2-11 ATS as favs off double digit win, but covered against Alabama...be careful this week.

Finally, Ole Miss coming into this year was 1-10 ATS as fav after scoring more that 35 pts.......earlier in the year scored 59 against NE La and didn't cover the next week at home against Texas Tech, but last week after scoring 55 against Ark State, they covered against Alabama.

EMOTIONALLY, I THINK LAST WEEK WAS HUGE WIN FOR OLE MISS, BUT I THINK THIS WEEK WILL BE DIFFERENT......ALL SIGNS POINT TO ARKANSAS!

My Play is Arkansas +1 1/2 (5 unit play)

Umakethecall,

Those were all great points but this is a different team than in the past. I have been watching them play for a long time and this is the first team that really plays together. Eli has found his grove and we have the best receveing core in the SEC, follow that up with a good not bad running game, I just think that we can out score ARK at home and at a pick it is worth a shot. Also Cedric Cobb won't be playing. If our 'D' can play one real good 1/2, the 1st one hopefully, and a alright 1/2 I just think our 'O' is to good and we score more pts than they do.

Just my thoughts:D

Guys great points. Cobbs being out is huge for Ark. Manning had two dropped balls for TD's against Memphis. They blew a lead in the Tech game. This team could easily be undefeated. Solid road win in Florida, regardless of their team this year. One thing I have tried to stay away from is ATS trends, etc... Vegas wants you to look at these stats and make that play that favours the trends. Valid trends for sure but I will no play this game. GL on the 5 Unit play!

SOMEWHERE IN THE DEEP SOUTH
The public will be all over arkansas.

We all know what that means.

BUT!!!!!!

Arkansas is a very good team and their 2 losses were heart breakers.

This game the hogs will circle the wagons and come through with a bounce back win

SOMEWHERE AROUND THE S.E.C.
ole miss has the offense to beat everyone left on their schedule, but they wont because of coach cuttcliffs conservative nature. if he would turn eli manning loose , i truly believe they could win the rest of their games this year.

just look at last weeks game. cutcliff called the dogs on alabama after ole miss drove 82 yards in their first drive of the second half.
does anybody realize that in the last 24 minutes of the game eli only threw 3 passes. ole miss could have scored 60 points last week had not cutcliff gone conservative.

rebs win big

rebs win big

don't usually play on ole miss because of their inconsistency in the past. i go to school there and i have seen this inconsistency year in and year out.

arkansas offense is built around their running game. rebs run d is solid and ark running game should be inexistent this weekend. ole miss was really down after the loss to memphis. cutcliffe was playing ridiculously conservative ball. he has been able to do more things with the offense in the past few weeks due to our running backs stepping up. running game has been solid.

cutcliffe will not run up the score unless he feels he has too. there was no reason in running up the score on bama last weekend. he will not do it in this game either. there will probably be no need.

the key in this game is how matt jones for ark performs. he is quite a playmaker and could give our defense fits. he is the main thing our defensive scheme will be built around this weekend.

if jones is even slowed down this weekend, rebs should win big. everyone is loading up on the hogs because they beat texas (overrrated?). that was a big win on the road. they should have lost to bama (bama missed a 16 yrd fg).

arkansas is extremely overrated with cobbs. without him, they don't seem so impressive. i feel like these teams are going in opposite directions (much like last week).

rebs should win big. if not, it will most likely be due to a 4th quarter comeback by the hogs.

rebs roll

don't mean to sound biased, but honestly, don't be so quick to jump on the hogs because "they are due."

GL with your picks guys....I dont post often but do my homework. Ark. looks like the pic here. The Florida team that beat ARK is not the same that played Ole Miss. That QB has a slow start to the season..but is heating up rapidly. Ole MIss with the victory, ARK with the loss. The spread on this game started out at Ole Miss -2 :nono: BEWARE.....games with the spread of 2 and 2.5 generally indicated that the favorite WILL NOT cover. In the last week Cinci +2 over Baltimore(NFL) GT+2.5 Over MD last night. Just a game for you guys to watch this weekend Carolina+2 at NO. I'm taking Carolina....well see what happens.
