First, i would love to here the views of Nogisar and Master Capper on this game!

All this under talk may not be the case. I said earlier about a 16-13 game. Well if this is a blowout either way it goes over. I haven't seen a weather report for the game as this will be important as well. A 24-19 score may be more reasonable.

I could not agree with you more.

2 interesting stats which I heard on the Nick Saban Show last night:

In their past 5 games Auburn has faced 3rd and 10 or more only 7 times. This is a testament to their ability to lineup and run it down your throat on 1st and 2nd down. I see them passing on 1st down more this week vs the best defense they have played since USC.

40 of Auburn's last 45 plays in the red zone were runs. Again, I think Tubberville opens it up a bit this weekend.

New prediction:

LSU 23 Aub 20

Auburn (5-2) at LSU (6-1) - 7:45 pm EST ESPN

Why to watch: Well alright. Now this is looking like the SEC West showdown we've all been waiting for. Things were a bit sketchy for a while as Auburn gacked in its first two games and LSU looked lousy against Florida, but the Tigers (the Auburn version) turned things around with a five-game winning streak and the Tigers (the Bayou edition) looked fantastic in a blowout win over South Carolina. While Ole Miss and Arkansas are still in the mix (and then some), the winner of this game should be the favorite to represent the West in the SEC title game.
Why Auburn might win: The Auburn run defense continues to rock only allowing 93 yards per game. LSU's running game might not be up to snuff with leading rusher Joseph Addai most likely out with a knee injury and backup Shyrone Carey still hurting. Quarterback Matt Mauck was able to shine against South Carolina with one of the best games of his career, and he might have to come through again.
Why LSU might win: Two words: Jason Campbell. With all they hype and publicity that Carnell Williams has received on his amazing three-game tear, LSU's number one run defense is going to be extra fired up to try and put the Cadillac into the garage. If the Auburn ground game isn't rolling, can Campbell make LSU pay with his arm? He hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in two games and hasn't been pressed to make too many big plays.
Who to watch: In what should be a defensive battle, it could be up to the Baby Bayou Backs to step up again. Freshmen Alley Broussard, Justin Vincent and Barrington Edwards combined for 222 yards and two touchdowns against South Carolina. With starting left guard Nate Livings out, the line will have to be extra sharp and the young backs extra good against the Auburn D.
What will happen: The Fourth Annual Can't Miss Pick: The Tigers will win. LSU has looked like national title contenders in every game other than the Florida debacle and should find just enough momentum at home to pull off the defensive battle. Could this be Earthquake Game II with a last second score? Maybe.

I think the tigers will definately win this one. The tigers have looked good all year i will be betting by house and all of my assets on the tigers.

Go tigers (ha)

On a serious note like the war eagles there playing as good as anyone in the country and i dont think that the baton rouge night bengals will be able to stop them from covering.

Bayou bengals win but by less than the experts think

Crimson, as i must say again, you are a typical bammer fan. Just cause bama sucks don't come in with your little one liners. Your Bama nation has quickly faded away here at madjacks along with your season. As far as your statement about stephen davis. He may suck @110yds a game, but what about Shaun alexander @80yds a game. What would that make him? And all this talk about Shaud Williams for heisman and the best back in the sec. Nice one, he would be on our practice squad. Good luck against the vols this weekend, but i'm afraid you will need alot more than luck.

Weewilly, LSU at night scares me about as much as My Little Pony's do...

weewilly,

LSU at night is better than LSU in the daytime, I will agree. I still think Auburn wins this game.

Watch out for the underdogs this sat........November is right around the corner.

LSU's rush D is ranked #1 giving up just over 50 YPG. Impressive, until you look at the FACTS. The following are their opponents to date and their respective Rushing Offense rank in the NCAA:

1. UL Monroe #81
2. Arizona #95
3. Western Illinois #51 (in 1AA!)
4. Georgia #63
5. Mississippi State #78
6. Florida #62
7. South Carolina #51

Auburn's is currently #14.

LSU may very well beat us, but to say that their rushing defense has been challenged is ludicrous

Your point is well taken. However, holding South Carolina to 0 yards rushing is impressive no matter which way you look at it.

Auburn has a bigtime Defense led by 2 ridiculously talnted LBs and a bigtime running game led by 2 ridiculously talented RBs, but the Tigers are not a bunch of shmucks. These guys beat UGA, who I feel is the best the SEC has to offer, and they will be "up" for this one considerring the beating Auburn put on them last season.

I've noticed that the national media is riding high on Auburn this week. The pundits seem to think LSU has no chance at winning the game. Most posters on various message boards including MJs are also on Auburn+.

I am definitely not playing this game, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Vegas will cash-in bigtime on this one........
