Ottawa does not play again until Thursday and will want this one if they intend on getting a day or two off. On paper they are much better than Montreal. Habs play solid defensively and have won 5 of 6 with a quality win against the Wings. I would not consider their other wins great or anything. They are playing solid hockey and deserve everything they have to this point. Ottawa has won 3 in a row and really have not played super teams. Losses to LA and Det in OT were tough. Sens will want to take possession of first in the division even though it is early, the Sens players want to get a mental edge on teams as well and continue to move forward each game this year.
NYR have not played since Monday and Det is playing their 3rd in 4 nights. They went really hard Friday against Dallas and Yzerman will not be playing as he has stated he will not play back to back games. This makes Det. thin down the middle as they already are with Yzerman in the line-up and with the loss of Federov. I will grab the half goal. Looking for NYR to play a complete game. They must survive the first 10 min. and knock off the rust.
