watching it locally.

ball state 1st/10 at their own 18
2nd quarter, about 2:00 left in the 1st half.
got ball state here and (im surprised to say) they look good.
toledo looks pretty lame quite honestly. real flat.

Thanx GMAN, Toledo doing anything (have them on a 3team tease) any weather......or is the Rocket out of fuel????
weather really not impacting the game. toledo just real flat. ball state scored twice early in the 1st. then both teams just grinding it out for the 2nd quarter. rockets probably gonna go to the air a lot more in the 2h, but they dont look to be anywhere near as sharp as they normally are. the 236 (or so it seems) fans at the stadium cheering on their troops.
2nd half updates would be appriciated !!!!!!!!

toledo looks really bad. ball state chunking away yards in the 2h just like they were in the 1h. ball state driving again mid 3rd quarter

But about Toledo....
The game is being televised on local TV...here's what's killing them:
1) Turnovers
2) The rain
3) Game time decision injuries
Turnovers: They had the ball 1st and goal on the 5...tipped ball, picked off. They had the ball again on the Ball St 19, another tipped ball, another INT. So 2 INTs in the redzone.
The Rain: These running backs cant do anything on a wet field. They are scat backs - not power backs. They play based on their ability to cut inside and out of holes. I watched them trip 7 or 8 times before hitting big holes...and they were big holes. Ball St DLine got manhandled...unfortunatly, so did Toledos DLine.
Injuries: 3 Toledo defenders sat out, gametime decision
Sorry Toledo backers...but I do look forward to NIU coming to the Glass Bowl. After this loss, Toledo could possibly be a dog.
