I've made my money for the week so I am not playing any NFL, but I handicapped one good teaser again this week so here it is. Good luck whatever you play on Sunday.

Cards +12/Chiefs -0.5 two team, six point teaser -110

Nick, I am surprised that a guy as smart as you plays teasers. Go back and look at the numbers.....the extra points are rarely used. You are better off playing parlays, and both will send you to the poor house.....good luck though

I personally like 6pt-teasers especially in the NFL where games are usually decided by 7 or less points. Today, I am playing Tampa Bay even w/Kansas City +0.5. Some say that you do not need the extra 6 points but let's look at 3 of my 6-pt teasers on Saturday:

Alabama +9(Lost by 8)w/Michigan +1

Boston College +2(Won By 2)w/Iowa -4.5

South Carolina -10(Won By 11)w/Ole Miss +6

As you can see I needed the 6 points in the first half of my teasers as Bama, B.C. & USC were losers straight up. I think that the Bucs and the Chiefs will at the very least win today and playing them in a 6-pt teaser that is all they have to do.

As Always, GLTA!!!:)

I agree that if you look at history NFL teasers are a bad bet. I had noticed earlier how NFL lines appear to be sharper than ever (less folks posting year to year profits, more folks focusing on CFB for betting, etc.). Then I also read an article where several bookmakers in Las Vegas talked about eliminating teaser offers and even the head guy at Bodog talked about how they are hard on books (though they do make more profit overall on them than they do on straight bets). After I put that together, I started looking to tease teams in two situations: Dogs I thought would win outright and Favs of 6 points or more in a mismatch. So far it has worked well and I have hit all 3 teasers I have either played or posted this season. I don't recommend playing a lot of them but if you are willing to quit playing sides and totals to specifically concentrate on teasers, I think you can find value.
