1)cincinnati+3.....(bought).....i watched cincy dismantle the ravens last week...i see a weekly progression from the bengals....kitna,although he got away with a few bad throws, looks better than i`ve ever seen him.....and that`s a very good young offensive line they have.....weapons are plentiful....chad johnson, peter warrick....and where the hell did this tight end schobels come from?....
marvin lewis had the defense blitzing from everywhere....you just sense a real change in the attitude of cincy....not a swagger....but,after they got down 7-0 to the ravens, you felt like they never lost their confidence....
the ravens did most of their damage after the game was decided....
negatives?....cory dillon`s big mouth....after being injured, the guy starts mouthing off after his first game back....what a virus this guy is....i just hope he plays hard so this offense can show some balance....
i know cincy has a poor record of winning 2 straight home games...but,to be fair, under lewis, the dynamic is a little different...
as for seattle,a very favorable schedule thus far....2 road games...a blow out win vs lowly arizona....a blow out loss at green bay....a very lucky win vs a ram club that should have easily beaten them....a fortuitous def holding penalty on 4th and long keeps the last drive alive...a 1 point win over a jekyl and hyde san fran team....a nail biter vs a poor bear club.....an early win over a poor starting new orleans team......
i`m not convinced that seattle is that good..not 5-1 good.....they seem to sleepwalk through long portions of games....lucky for them, the schedule has been very soft and loaded with home games....
gladly take the home dog....
2)cleveland plus 7(again bought)....how does new england,beaten and battered,keep winning?....what a gutty,tough team.....
but, isn`t this a great spot for home-pathetic,road-warrior cleveland......new england has to crash at some point....why not this week....the strange browns continue to play poorly at home and like rabid dogs on the road.....probably happy to get away from those fans....and the qb`s probably feel much less pressure......
the browns struggle against clubs that like to run and have topnotch ground games...that`s not really new england`s style....
new england, tough and gutty, falls into the perfect letdown spot after miami.......against one of the best road dogs in the league....a full td.....i`ll bite...
3)giants+7(again bought)...unbeatable minny......a weak schedule...catching teams without their qb`s(denver,atlanta)...detroit....good wins over san fran and green bay in week one....
but again,6-0?....i`m not convinced....the giants have to be the most dominant, snake bitten team in the league....
last 3 games vs top clubs....miami,the pats and philly.....
get this...the giants out first downed miami 25-15.....the pats 26-12.....philthy 25-9.....
and these weren`t blow-outs where the giants put up garbage yards....these were tough, close games in which mistakes killed the giants....
they are dominating on offense...and the defense isn`t playing badly....i think philthy got around 135 yards total offense last week...just an unbelivable run of mistakes and bad luck....this team`s gonna explode on somebody...i know the "o" line is thin...but they are still overpowering good defenses...just not finishing...
the giants will snap out of it...this offense is actually performing like the team that finished so strong last year....and another team that i think plays a little looser on the road....
gimme the td....with bells on...and maybe small moneylines on each game
btw....check the consensus sites...i don`t believe any of these are public plays....
*adding....ravens under 40(bought half earlier in the week)....
pitt-1(bought half).......bettis does some business and loosens the passing game up...
***downgrade the cincy play due to f-ck-up cory dillon`s foibles........not hurt in a car accident....but won`t play....a real team guy...
g.l.,guys...
