I agree. For as much disruption as Miami has gone through with their travel plans, I have no idea how the Chargers will be up for this game. This truly was a disaster, as many, many heavily residential areas have been affected. If Charger players don't know people personally affected by the fires, they know someone who does. This was extremely wide-spread, and hit areas where people assumed they were immune from such devastation. (The paper today mentioned that SDSU Head Coach Craft had to evacuate his family from his house, but no word on whether the house burned or not). Players are all spread through these communities, and probably spent yesterday like the rest of us, watching and wondering what would be next. To try to get the logistics together of packing everything up on short notice (remember, the Dolphins were already packed), and then get in the mental frame of mind to play tonight, I can't see it happening.
They'll be leaving today, wondering just what will happen when they're gone. These fires are not close to being contained, and there will be more destruction today.
This will be a very weird game tonight, with neither team feeling like playing, in front of what should be a very small crowd (well, they may draw more than a Cardinals game). The emotion just won't be there. I'd lean to the under, but probably won't bet as I'll probably be watching coverage of the fires rather than the game tonight.
