I have been a long time NUGGET fan and follow them even though they have sucked the last few years.......

I know they would never compare to the Boston Red Sox or the Cubs...........the Vikings or any other looser team that continues to never give their fans what they really want a championship.........but they are my team and of all the sports they would have to my favorite........

Anyways I know they have sucked and I would be the first to tell you in the last few years I would not have played them to win over 17 games...but this year the total is 28 and I truley believe that they will win in the mid to upper 30's.......................I have a friend putting some big money on them for me in Vegas and another doing it on line for me with his book.....................My asshole bookie won't take it but this will be my single most biggest bet of all time..........................some of you may play this much money on a single game............ I don't know but i am not that big.........................................If you read my football post I told you that I need to rebuild my bank roll this is partly why...............................

MY BIGGEST PLAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nuggets to win over 28 games this year

$4000 bet in Vegas when all is said and done
$2000 bet on-line with my friend
$6000 total bet

GO NUGGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On last thing the Nuggets have the best Mascot in all of sports

28 wins? out of the 14 western conference teams, who are they better than...
utah= probably worse team in west
my clipps and your nuggets and maybe golden state will battle for 13 th position. but these 3 teams will be around 20-26 wins max! too many good teams in west will take most of your wins.
will wish you all luck but seems like a tough bet.

p.s. if you think carmelo is going to carry you, rookies usually start fading around january and that leaves another 3 more monthes.

thanks johhny b for replying, didn't think anybody was going to..

First off your right they will be in the west battleing for the 12 -14th spot...................................but this will happen even with 30+ wins..............

I figure they will play 15 games at home against the east.....best case they win half or a little over maybe 8. On the road against the east I won' t be as nice say they win 5 okay so now we have 13 games won.......................They win 15 in the west and we have a push............................Every win after that is money in my pocket..........................................

I know the NBA wants the next Jordan to be LeBron but I don't see it......................I really think the Nba wants LeBron to be rookie of the year........................Think of all the money they can make on that crap.....................Truth is I don't know what Detroit was thinking, I understand Cleveland, (don't think that was a accident that they had number one pick LeBron being from there and all) picking LeBron they had too.................But I truly think the nuggets got the best draft choice in that draft................Only time will tell but Carmelo should be rookie of the year.....he should be a better player in the nba then LeBron and can see him winning games for the nuggets that they normally would not have won.

I know about rookies tailing off later in the season............I guess we will see................On another note that helps my over 28 the nuggets catch alot of teams after they have visited the west coast on their way home......................Usually tired so with the nuggets running the floor this year and the addition of Carmelo it should be a exciting year for the nuggets..............I stick with mid to upper 30's.....................

GO NUGGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Denver

Odds to win the NBA Finals: 150/1
2002-2003 record: 17-65 SU, 35-45 ATS
2002-2003 Over/Under: 34-45

Key additions: Andre Miller, Carmelo Anthony, Jon Barry, Earl Boykins, Voshon Leonard

Key losses: Juwan Howard

Outlook: Exciting times are ahead in the Mile High City. The Nuggets lacked talent last season, but things have changed as GM Kiki Vandeweghe has turned things around. I hope the scoreboard is working in Denver, because all signs point to a run n? gun team. The addition of Andre Miller and Carmelo Anthony brings instant credibility to an offense that finished last with 84.2 PPG.

Miller and Anthony will join some solid young players in Ne Ne, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, and Rodney White. Throw in veteran Marcus Camby and feisty point gurad Earl Boykins, and you have a team that will give opponents trouble. The playoffs shouldn?t be talked about, but surpassing last year?s win total should be golden.

Gambling notes: Denver was a pathetic 4-37 SU on the road last season, but a decent 17-23 ATS.

Marcus Camby will be on the injured list by middle of next week, Rodney White sux (bad), Carmelo is 19 yrs old, Dre Miller can't shoot a lick, Jon Barry couldn't guard my twelve year old niece and they lost their best player (Juwan) to free agency. Remind me why the Nuggets are going to win 29 games again?

i got CA to win ROY and outscore LJ by 2.5 and be leading Rookie scorer, however, asking Nugs (who as U know were total puke LY) to win 29 games is asking a lot ... Andre will help CA get quality shots, but Hilario and CO are unproven (not to mention Camby;s brittle bod goin all the way to UMASS) ... even tho most mock Jazz, i feel them to win 23.5 is a much better bet than Nugs ... teams like port/sea/hou/gs/clips in the West are still better to much better than Denver; that said, I wish you luck and certainly dont see it a impossibility to bag 30 wins ... But I will say this, IF it happens, CA will definitely win ROY, so why not toss in that bet, its pays from 3/1 to 2/1 most any book ...

* i agree carmelo will probably win rookie of the year. lebron wont win it imo. wouldnt surprise me to see someone more polished (like a dwayne wade) contend for rookie of the year as well

* that being said, draft clearly went in the correct order (from #1 to #2 to #3). lebron will clearly be the best of this bunch 5 years from now, with darko being a more physical version of dirk, albeit without the amazing touch from the outside. carmelo, in my opinion, is gonna be an all-star in this league, but not a superstar. only two future superstars in the draft were lebron and darko

* re: nuggets win total -- i gotta agree with the majority sentiment here. i watched andre miller for 3 or 4 years in cleveland. good point guard, but cant shoot from 15 and out. hes one of the best finishers for a point guard once he gets into the paint but teams have learned to sag off him and allow him to let it fly --chances are it aint goin in. nuggs will be improved, but to expect that many wins in the western conference is a crapshoot at best. they have no true "scorer" where they can just give him the ball and count on some points. they have a bunch of nice role players but no star. carmelo will get his, but i just cant see all that many wins. i actually like hilario, but he is not a reliable scorer. its hard to compare him to someone in the league right now. hes kind of a hybrid. super athletic, but still raw

honestly hope it hits for you. im apathetic about the nuggs, so i cant say ill be tuning in to see them play all that often; however hopefully theyll improve to the point where you cash that ticket

Well boys thanks for all the imput...................I am begining to think that maybe I should have listened to you before making that wager......................Personally I love it.................doesn't make it a winner............we will see.........I just see the nuggets being a improved team.....................they should be better scoring team a running team and to add one other note..............I don't think I have seen a pro team play as hard as this group did last year.........................with that said i still stand by my team and the mid to upper 30's and will see what happens.............Trust me i will be updating all year long so future imput would be great....

One last thing where can I get Carmelo as a prop play Rookie of the year.................................I do think that the nuggets got the best draft choice.....last year in the draft..........i guess we will see............ANyways should be a great year.......................

At least a little better then the last few for the nuggets........

The nuggets played last night alot like I think they will play all year....................only getting better as the season goes as they learn to play together and Carmelo will only improve...........he did not have a great game last night......................he will get better....the two guys that impressed me were Camby with 20 rebounds and some good defense and Boykins with 13 points off the bench......................................Plus Miller played well.......I think he is going to enjoy his time here in dever.....................

The nuggets also played 11 players...................The second group that was in there is engerized and will run run run run run............after watching the game last night I just think that if they can score just alittle better my over 28 wins will be soild

The count down Begins 1 down 27 to go..................................28 to win money...........................................................................

One last thing I like them getting 10 points tonight also..........To many for a team that plays good defense...........................
