A Big ? Who in the hell is gonna stop LA this year ?

After watching 3Q's of this new team I wonder who can possibly challenge them ? They are destroying Dallas without Kobe which is simply amazing. I think they will crush everyone and probably break the win record for a single season. This is not the same team as last year that faded alot in the 2nd Half of games.

too much drama between shaq and kobe.
plus, at some point, lakers will go through a lull and theres not enouogh points/shots to satiate all those egos.

for this first game, they look awesome.

but lots of egos on that team. they talk about setting it aside for the good of the team, but look at shaq and kobe fighting like babies. throw that in with payton's ego and malone's ego and at some point, there will be some struggles.

LA looked good, but its kinda early, dont U think ... I mean Mavs are piecing together all sorts of players, not HOF vets like GP and Mailman ... plus, shaq gets inj, its all over ... Lakers can win w/o Kobe, they always have played fine with him out, so him missing and them winning was no surprise ... fisher and George are good players too, and I bet Walton helps along with Fox when he returns ... see if GP or Mailman wear down some in long haul, PJ will rest them to keep fresh for long haul and not worry about beating his OWN record ... this is like Tampa crushing Eagles in opening MNF and everyone thinking they were SB lock, including me, hehe, then Car. beats them next game at home and they get crushed in SF ... long rd. to hoe, and no way they win 70+ games ...

Personally I think the Shaq & Kobe thing is staged to take away from all the negative publicity Kobe, the Lakers & the NBA would be getting. At least this feud is about basketball & it did take a lot of talk away from the rape case.

Pt1gard, Lakers would not win it all without KOBE. Fisher and George are average players. Neither can get their own shot and even if left open still don't shoot that great %. Fisher can get hot though.
