Average Calculated Line: Boise State -5.45
Line Value of 3.55 Points on BYU +9
Playing BYU +9 (-115)
$115 to make $100

Looks like I'm the only BYU backer in the world. Possibly 1,756,289 wagers on Boise State to my 1. Well, if I win at least the oddsmakers will still be in business for the weekend. If I lose we all might have to find another trade. Anyway you go, good luck.

I know

I know

I was being a smart ass, but on a serious note...I asked a friend of mine why he liked Boise State tonight and he said, and I quote word-for-word..."Favorites always cover on Thursdays" I shit you not. He didn't care that line movement took this game 4 points in the other direction. I can see the movement if I could verify the "Dead Point" theory, but I can't see the rational for oddsmakers bumping this line up that high if big bucks weren't coming in on the Broncs. I know they are talented and have all-world speed at Wide Out and will cause tons of matchup problems for BYU but my numbers have gotten me this far for this amny years so I can't turn my back on them now. Especially this late in the year when my formulations are the strongest. Good Luck to all of you as always. I never have a reason to root against anybody who plays the other side because I never have that kind of money on games. I have this money management condition that is hard to shake once you get a hold of it. It sucks too because I really wanted to put 22,000 Units on this game. To hell with money management and frugality.....TO HELL WITH IT!!!!

bad mojo

Good money management will always make up for poor handicapping, but good handicapping will never make up for poor money management.

sarcasm buddy, sarcasm

sarcasm buddy, sarcasm

You knew that though, right. That's my point exactly...money management has kept me in this game for many years. Without it, I couldn't call Wagermall today and request another payout for almost $2,500 for the 3rd time in 4 months. Not on the road to financial independance by any means but nice pieces of spending money for 3-day weekends in pretty places.

Oh Well

Oh Well

Turns out this one's over at the half, that's too bad. I guess I'll go jump off a bridge. Darn...life was looking better. Should've listened to all the wiseguys here and went with the Lock in Boise State. Hindsight's 20-20.

mick:

dont sweat it. had byu myself. youre right, all the locks were on boise tonight. truthfully, this has been a game where neither team is moving the ball worth a damn. this game was won/lost in the 1h in one area: ball protection. byu didnt take care of the ball. boise managed their possessions well and didnt turn it over.

all in all, just put this game in the back of your mind for future reference like im doing:

1) byu has quarterback issues. i thought berry was better than beck. both stink.

2) boise still not tested. personally, i hope boise blows em out now in a big way. that way, there will be line value anti-boise in the coming weeks.

byu's defense isnt playing all that poorly. its the byu offense that has put them in precarious situations all night.

dont even worry about this game. favorites have covered on thursdays all friggin year. go figure.

You are right

You are right

This game could go either way if they played it 10 times tonight. I have to keep reminding myself that I am only 2 TD's out of this thing right now. I give all the success of this to the BSU Defense for cashing in on mistakes but at 28-4 it's really 28-13. BYU's D has been equally good. If they can get a score on D and an Offensive td we are in it. WE do need a score on special teams or D, I really believe.

Don't you sense something strange is in the air here???? BYU seems to have found some offensive rhythm, Boise State failed to put them away when they had the chance, they in turn have no rythm on offense, and Corso is starting to ramble about stuff that has nothing to do with the game. The open receivers are there. This kid has to find them. We are in this thing.

28-21

28-21

Don't you just love pointspreads??? Thought so. I just hope it doesn't come down to missing a cover on a blown 2-point conversion attempt, cause you know they'll be going for 2 if they score again.

You're right G-Man

You're right G-Man

Stick a fork in us, we're all done. Another wasted dollar on a shitty team. BYU sucks. It's over...a cover here is too much to ask with a struggling team like this. Too bad.

dont show your ignorance.
please keep my post in the correct context.

my post when when the score was 28-4 with 2:00 to go in the 3rd quarter.

at that time, boise had less than 200 yards of offense and byu's defense was playing solid and outgaining boise's offense. a blocked punt and INT return made for the 28-4 score.

not really even sure why im bothing to respond to you.

dont be ignorant and dont be a punk.

keep the post in the appropriate context.

thanks and gl

props to the boise offense for proving they can throw down the field when theyre up 30 points.

The difference between what is happening on the field and what a team is capable of AND being able to identify between the two will make you successful.

My offer stands, I'll take all of your "anti-Boise" action that you are willing to dish out.

Oh, and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to respond to my post. I know High School can demand a majority of your time. :joke:

GL on Penn State.

why would you waste any of your life debating something as stupid as this.

for christsake- i made my comment when the score was 28-4 and byu held the first down and total yardage edge.

hell, corso and herbstreit said that same thing late in the 2rd quarter (that byu's defense had really held boise in check)

go take it up with them if a comment like that bothers you so much

theres gotta be better things for you to do than worry about something this trivial.

(p.s. is it really necessary to edit your post to add in an insult. obviously youre kidding, but seems like youre just breaking balls for the sake of breaking balls. edit your post to make sure you get an insult in? )
