Had to mute it...a waste of a kick ass audio system, but he second guesses EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Its bullcrap and of course he does it so often, many times he is wrong himself. Trev Alberts used to make me want to puke, but now May is the worst of the two.

Man, I'm sure glad I'm not the only one that had to turn off the sound and every time I turned it back on to check a penalty or just to try and listen again, he was still talking out his ass.

The only good thing about the whole game is I had the over, but couldn't even enjoy the win, well maybe a little, but skill, you and I were on the same wave lenth about these 2 bums.

Watching the game in total silence surrounded by a huge THX system. Im wondering what the hell Im doing, so I would turn the sound on only to hear May saying "Why did they pass, they should have run. Why did they run, they sound have passed!"

Silence is golden.

garden, real tough to call. You can bet them at olympic and sometime mvp depending on how they feel. Problem is olympic uses a 20 cent line which can be hard to overcome, especially now that the lines are tighter.

Silva is going to crush Yoshida, he is a big favorite at -500, but it should really be -2000. But here is the rub, (not sure how familiar you are with MMA), but Pride has had works (fixed fights) before and there is a lot of speculation. I dont believe they can get Silva to throw a fight and now with their efforts to hold matches in Las Vegas, I dont think they will try and work it.

I could go on for days about this. check out the underground forum on mma.tv.

Ill say this, Sakuraba fighting Randleman is a value at +180. Sak has aged and taken three stompings from Silva, but Randleman is totally different. He is roided, but he blows up quick and his only skill is wrestling. He is going to have a tough time finishing Sak, who on the other hand can submit a wrestler with all kinds of techs. I would say the odds should be closer to even.

Mark May also predicted Michigan St. to win the NC last year. This year he predicted AU to win the NC. The guy makes loser predictions. I can't tell you how many times he has predicted the loser in major matchups throughout the year. I also hate his analysis.

I like Alberts though.

appreciate the response.......slip over to the "off the wall" forum on occasion.....there are some excellent boxing guys(that`s my thing) and i get a little lonely when these mma cards come around and nobody chimes in....we could use your expertise.....

i was wondering what your thoughts were on bustamante/henderson and whether the liddell/jackson winner can upset the applecart(silva)......or will they brutalize one another getting to the final...

thanks....

Silva/Yoshida is not going to be a 'work'. I love Sak, but I would rather root for him from a fans perspective rather than risk money. Sure, he is a great submissions artist, but he might not be able to slap one onto Randleman who is about a strong of a fighter Sak's ever faced. I hope he wins though.

I think the best bets are Jackson over Liddell, Busta over Hendo, Goodridge over Bobish, and Nog has decent enough odds to where I think he is worth a shot.

Yeah, you noticed I stayed away from those two matches, going to be really good. With Hendo being the underdog, I would be real tempted to take him but he is coming off a pretty serious injury and isnt going to be at 100%. Busta is great brazilian jiu jitsu champion that was able to translate it to MMA, but he is ripe against someone like Dan who is a good sprawl and brawl wrestler with good greco. In other words Dan has a good chance to keep it standing and then win it. I cant really say who Im going to take, biggest problem is health and Im hearing that Murilo is peaking unlike last fight v. Rampage that he took on short notice.

The Liddel fight, another toughy although the lines have moved from -120 each to favoring Chuck. Chuck should be able to escape the ground if he does end up there, but the ropes will be a problem. Chuck and Jackson used to train together with Tito in Huntington Beach and I have knowledge that Chuck used to take him. But Jackson has improved a ton and Pride wont be happy for Chuck to make it to the finals. Another hard one, one of those things the more you know, the harder it is to make a pick.

Ill come into that forum and let you know what I take.

the bustamante odds looked reasonable to me(last thing i saw was-140).......jackson`s a beast....and liddell is very tough....i know the pride people would be pissed if liddell pulled it off...i`m not surprised he`s got the tough draw...

i won`t drag this out in ctown`s thread....

thanks,guys....pleased to see i`m not the only one looking at these....appreciate the help....

ctown...thanks for letting us whack around a different subject in your thread....

Hoops, I choose to believe the same when it comes to Yoshida, but it is very difficult to forget fights like Coleman v. Takada. That is the problem, when you do it once, everything after that can be questioned. Yoshida is a national hero in Japan, just like Takada although for entirely different reasons. Judo v. Pro Wrestling. Silva isnt nicknamed the axe murderer for anything and there is no way a gi wearing pure Judo guy is going to take him. so -500 is really low IMHO

Sak submitted Jackson. Jackson was able to overpower Randleman and pound him. Sak submitted Conan who weighed 40 pounds more than Randleman. Sak has dealt with strength before and won. Its the standup guys like Silva and Cro Cop that he cant deal with.
