where is cappers like big daddy, fletch, vol, raymond, they only post here and there.... i know ray and fletch want money for most of their picks. we never have a full crowd together capping games. i mean dont get me wrong, there are great cappers here, just feel it would be better if everyone got involved.

I'm not that strong in football, but am more confident in basketball. You will see me more in the hoops season. For what it's worth, I am playing the under tonight based on a tip.

It's the American way!! You do good work, give it away, build a reputation, then get paid in arears. Earning your money in advance like most cappers here do, is far better than paying some of these atheletes that Work when they Want and Cry when they Don't and Blame others in between.
I bet Raymond, KC Wolf, and others would welcome your business.

This is a topic of long and countless debate with me

This is a topic of long and countless debate with me

I have never understood why people would have to charge others for Sport's Picks???? If you are that good you would be making a killing on the books. I have stuck to that and will continue to stick by it till I die. I have made lots of money playing blackjack with different forms of counting. I would like to think I have mastered the High-Low Count...which I have. I teach it to a few kids locally. Well they are not kids in the literal term but they are young gamblers. What do I charge them? A cup of coffee and an Bagel and Egg sandwich at Dunkin Donuts. I make enough playing the game then I could ever make charging people to teach them the strategies that were taught to me for free. BUT...I will never crticize people for making a buck doing what they love. I'm merely stating my opinion. There are too many politics involved to win an argument like this.

well i guess greed sets in, i sure as hell wouldnt wanna pay someone money on a day they go 1-5 or lose. theres no guarantee so whats the point. oh well, just liked the forum before when everyone was together on the pics. it should be all of us on one side (the bettors) against the bookies or house.

I can understand someone trying to make money on their picks. What I can't comprehend is how these guys charge in the thousands of dollars for a whole season. Even if they hit an unbelieveable 60% of their plays, how much would you have to bet each weekend to see a profit, once you factor in the juice and capping fees? I guess I'm a small-time gambler.

how about "if my pick doesn't win you don't pay"Now there's a deal for you.for a $25 pick you would have to bet at least $100.If you lose you are still out $75.Some deal.
I love that service that has about 20 guys selling picks and the service only tells you about the few guys who are hot during the last few days.No mention of the losing plays by the other "experts"

Let's suppose a guy owns a popular restaurant.

He makes money from his restaurant and a lot of it.

But he works for it. Long hours. He's needed 7 days a week.

Given the two commodities of time and money, he has lots of one and none of the other.

But this guy has a problem...

He loves his work, but he also enjoys sports. Especially sportsbetting. He only wishes he had the time to handicap, but he doesn't. It just isn't possible to manage his business and spend the time required to handicap.

But man oh man, he loves sports. Just to catch a score on the radio keeps him connected.

He has money and wants to wager, but he's not foolish.

He wants a Handicapping Service. A reputable one. He's more than willing to pay the fee for a decent product.

He wants to wager $2500 per week, but he needs to follow someone else's lead because he merely doesn't have the time to do it himself.

For this person, a good handicapping service is valuable.

See my post of services.....I was recently involved and most are squares for a reason. Pay only for wins is the best way to do it. There are some good guys out there that really work hard. If you dont have time to handicap games, but still want informed picks, then some of those guys can help. A lot of guys are just scams. You are right. But from the other side.....if people are going to buy, why not sell? Most of the guys that sell.....do not bet their games, in fact they dont gamble at all. Win or lose they still get paid, why take the chance on giving their profits to a bookie?

Just my thoughts

On the course!
"Pay only for wins" is a good thing?

That would be great if the service also picked up the tab you have with the book after each loss!

That methodology is the oldest scam there is! "This guy is on the up and up! He will only charge me if his play wins!"

So, day one he goes 3-5. You are out money to the book, but owe the tout nothing. Day two, he goes 5-3, and picks up his "rent" from you. He repeats this two day cycle for 6 days.

You stand at 24-24, and owe the bookie all that juice, and the tout his "pound of flesh" for three days!

I won't say that paying a tout is a complete waste of time. Buddy makes some very good points. The thing is, and you will never convince me otherwise, this game is a 50/50 proposition.

People will have no problem paying a stock broker, but would flinch at paying a service for sports plays. That is because a stock broker makes you money over a very long period of time. We all want instant results from a sports guru. Also, you would never sink the amount of cash into a sports broker's say-so, that you would to a stock broker.

I have a shitload more to say, but it would take forever.

OK.....would you rather pay for winners and losers? Or just winners? If the handicapper only collects when he wins, I would say the chances of being scammed are far less. I know I put a lot of time into it when I did it. If I didnt pick winners I didnt get anything for my time. It really sucked. Some guys will go 40% for the year and you will pay the same as if he went 60%. I think you know where I am going with this......

sorry mr sports if i don't post everyday i have a life, just had another operation last thur and today is the first day i have been out of beed but since i have joined i have made post at least 4 out of 7 days each week sometime health comes before posting and the site does not suck far from it. but you need to remember so people do not live to live on the net they have families and other things it is coming to the holiday season so people have more importent things to do at times the set here and make a post.
There are gifts to buy, plane tickets to get cards to send, family to spend time with you cannot live on the net unless you have no life. you must do other things in life,go to a movie, sports event ,go to dinner and a show, golf, hunt, fish. a sons or daughter school event, you must not be married are you and if so do you have children?

I see lots of post today on the days i was away not like the place shuts down if someone takes some time to themself and with their family, no posted rule that people have to post every day. and the time i was off i gave a full weeks of games before i went in and 1 post the day i got out when i was still felling no pain due to meds. but people or most have jobs i would hope and family so some times they have something that is more importent then posting here if you are married better change somethings in your life or you won't be for long the net is like a drug for some people it really is and you need to think about what i said,it is the holiday season and people are going to be mia at times till after new years. it is part of being a family you might want to think about that..and besides myself being down i still have a super bowl party that takes lots of work and meetings out here so relax people will be back, i know ray has been working for a month on a major union job he goes in at about 530 am up at 4 to plan the day for his guys and then off to office then job site gets home about 7 pm 10-12 hour day some big jobs have deadlines so he eats after he showers and goes to bed and same shit next day and if he is lucky he might get to see one of his sons fb game in the week or do something with one of his daughters. it is just a busy time of the year and will be like that till after new years but to say the site is going down hill is wrong it is stronger then ever , just the time of the year.

and at any week there are always a hot person on a run that is the name of sports,if you think for ex i am always hot will use myself you are jaded trust me i have hot and cold times like any one else ,so if your looking for help find out who is on a streak, check off the wall there is always a hidden gem in there or nba half time guys.

jack and greg put lots of time and money into this site i think you need to look at that also the statement was unfair to them more then anyone imo. jack is always on the phone trying to add new things that cost a lot of money and greg goes sometimes 2 days with out much sleep fixing something or getting more stuff added to resource page this stuff takes time and lot of work and money, the site is far from going down it is just that time of the year HOLIDAY TIME A TIME TO BE SPENT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS WELL THIS TAKES PLANNING TO GET TO DO,PEOPLE DO NOT ALL LIVE AROUND FAMILY LIKE BACK IN THE 60'S AND 70'S THE NUCLAR FAMILY HAS BEEN ALL SPREAD OUT DUE TO JOBS AND OTHER REASONS PART OF LIFE EXCEPT IT.(sorry cpps) and things will be back to what you like after new years i say a week or so. just part of life.

good luck
Eric
